Setting the record straight
Closing the loop on this post with the following update:
1. Original post was more about what the powder was, especially after seeing how nice it looked for metering future loads. Previous post listed a few powders worth following up on for that purpose. At the end of the day is my DE 50AE/hand/face/etc worth the ~$10 savings over firing unknown components I had no input over? Nope.
2. Got in touch with seller and asked if he knew the powder and actually shot some of the loads. He bought the reloads from GB (interesting) and did not know the powder used. He also shot a handful. Yellow flags of concern waiving on that.
3. Pulled all lead over the weekend. Started with my largest Hornady collet and broke that. Oops. Moved over to the inertial bullet puller and about 45 min later had ~1/2 lb of unknown powder in a previously empty powder can.
4. Reloaded each case with 27gr of 2400 and a COL of 1.585. Good to go. Time to go shooting.
Thanks for all the input and follow up in trying to identify the powder.
