    Cabelas: Panic Buy Now!

My wife has a theory - it's all about marketing. They got us to panic buy guns - now the ammo - buy, buy, buy... panic induced economics.

    Yeah, I know.

            Hey Chief,

I gotta thick skin - my wife has an even thicker one - so no worries here about being 'PC'.

You gotta figure at some point though some of the slime in Sacramento have some of the ammo and gun manufacturing companies in their back pockets and these wack-job laws are no real accident.

But at the same time, if Ronnie Rayguns were still alive I am sure he'd march into Arnie's office and punch him in the face.

I think if you were really to follow the money - if it is even possible - a lot would be explained why some of these 'laws' get passed. I mean, look at all of the crap that has happened in the last two years that have caused panic buys.

And regarding the Cabela's ad - it is supposed to be handguns only - and these liberal marketing a-holes are putting shot shell and rifle rounds in there too - just causing panic induced buys. Always interesting to look at the interpretations that translate to $$$ that wouldn't otherwise be spent.

            Regards,
            jwest

I had the same idea. I such a pain to find lead-free ammo so this way I get to use my card and get something of a discount for it.

On a more legal note, is there some guidance on how we are suppose to educate vendors that they can still mail us ammo, it just has to require a signature, aka person to person?

No worries. As long as I can buy components doesn't really matter to me. But if some liberal tries to interpret this law as extending to reloading components then we all have a problem. I still think there will be legal entanglement yet to come regarding AB 962.

On the other hand it could boost business in CA - companies may think about opening an office here but the state is currently not too friendly to new business - maybe that will change but it isn't the current trend. Most of the other 49 states like to laugh and point to Commiefornia and say this is the land of 'fruits and nuts' - and when laws like these actually pass (remember the 'back pocket' comment) it is hard to argue with them. Most of my relatives are in Texas.

I've gotten five of these emails now. Of course they are promoting the panic buy. They are in business to make a profit. Get what they can get from us before the iron curtain comes down. Fortunately I go to the free state of az a couple of times a year and own a large pickup for arms purchases. So I'm not buying now just getting ready for multiple road trips to az and Nevada.
I support peace through superior firepower.

This is just plain silly. there's no way any ammunition company, or for that matter any company that deals with firearms or firearm related sales, would ever back the authors of idiotic firearms legislation. They have to look at long term business decisions that will keep their businesses solvent now and in the future.

What else can explain the destruction of the 2nd Amendment other than greed?

Kamila Harris is going turn up the heat. I am so tired of Kommiefornia.
i'll stock up what I can and travel out of state to procure the rest. But long term I plan on changing my domicile to a more American state as in understanding our fundamental rights and why we have them.
