    Tumble Clean or Resize First

Do you Tumble Clean your Brass before you Resize or
Resize and then Tumble Clean ?

I tumble first, resize after, keeps dirt out of the die, and media out of the flash hole. I find I don't get clean primer pockets tumbling while deprimed anyways.

Most people will tumble before sizing, but some decap before tumbling or sizing with a universal die

        Brass

I tumble then resize and decap, then tumble again prior to loading. That removes the sizing film. The media sometimes does plug the flash hole on that second tumble, but I have a pointed alignment tool I use to clean it out

Tumble first, then resize/decap. Tried it the other way and got cleaning media grains stuck in the flash hole.

Quick tumble to remove dirt and grit
Lube, deprime, and size on the progressive
Trim on the Possum Hollow chucked up in the drill press
                          Long tumble, with polish
                          Load on progressive.

The trick is to have a decapping die set up in the sizing station when you are loading, that will clear any media stuck in the flash hole.
I've never seen an American flag burned at a gun show.

I tumble then resize. I rarely clean the primer pocket but if I do then after resizing/depriming. I also rarely trim except my 50bmg. But I do trim if they get overly long in my no-go gauge.
A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

And I thought I was cheap!
I've been using the same Dixie Cup for 12 years, for test measuring powder..

                              Tumble first!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
