You can buy a micro adjuster installed on a powderbar or your can buy just the adjuster and install it yourself. For the cost of the installed unit you can buy two adjusters and do it yourself. Installation is a snap.

Nice micrometer! But $50, ouch! I sent LexLuthor $3 for the Ace knob (Thanks LL!) For my purpose, it's fine and saved me going on a quest for a $3 part (actually a $2 part I think). I had already gone to an Ace and didn't find it.==================

The great thing about the micro adjuster is you can easily adjust it to a specific powder weight by dialing in your previous reading. You no longer need to find the right setting by trial an error. Knobs are great and save from having to break out the wrench to make adjustments, but in the end they are just aids and you still have to set the load by trial an error.
If you don't do much adjusting from one powder charge to another or have multiple powder measures set to your specific charge then the micro adjuster is not a good investment. But if you use different bullet weights for the same round, load multiple rounds and only have one powder measure then $50 is a good investment. Sure the initial investment is steep (not really when you compare it to other reloading equipment) but your ROI makes it a great investment for the long haul.Last edited by Mac Attack; 10-12-2010, 10:05 AM.Comment
