For the 58 of you that guessed it will fire, you were right. I fired the washing machine only round and it fired without a hitch and same went to the washed and dried round. I did not shoot into paper so I could not tell you if accuracy was affected.

I am surprised that a home rolled, machine washed and dried round fired.

So, if I read you right, the round did not have a problem loading, it cycled without agitation and the bullet went clean through the target?

I dropped the round into the chamber with no mag in the gun and fired at the berm. It cycled the action back fine and ejected the round. Not the most scientific test but I just wanted to see if it fired.

I'd bet that a round with a properly seated primer and even average neck tension would last longer than you might think under water. Probably longer with a crimp.

I say yes if the crimp is good and primer pocket is uniform. I have personally done the same and it went bang. Good luck.
