Bad Attitude @ Angeles Reloading Store.

Anyone else get an *****hole attitude from the guy behind the counter at the Angeles Reloading store? It was my first time in there and was impressed at the inventory. I was ready to spend some serious cash on components and random crap but after I heard how the old guy behind the counter was talking to a couple other customers, I decided to take my business elsewhere. The other customers were very friendly and were asking basic questions about products and the old guy just sounded and acted annoyed at the fact that people were in the store. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this.

That said, everyone else who worked at the range was very friendly.

he's just a know-it-all grump. he doesn't suffer newbies too much, but as you get more knowledgeable and he can sense it and becomes a "little" friendlier. mind you, just a little.

know it all grump is a very accurate description. I am definitely not a noob but felt bad for the noobs that were on the recieving end of his attitude. He needs to realize that he too was once noob.

I usually stop there whenever I'm at Angeles, just to pick up a few things.
The guy at the counter runs a very neat, well-organized and well-stocked shop, and, for that, I'm grateful, but there's certainly no welcome mat at the door. I'm not looking for a new best friend, but his grudging attitude is one of "Lord, why to I have to have customers?"
If the "staff" was a bit more willing to deal with we relative rookies (I've only been reloading for a couple years), I'd forget that I can buy all of their wares cheaper on the Web (and with 0% sales tax).

You could always shop at Phillips Wholesale. I've only dealt with them once and they were great!

Last time I went to the store was over a year ago, but I still remember the guy behind the counter acting as you guys described him. I haven't been back to the store since, but I think I might go again soon cause they are the only place that has a decent selection of powder w/o hazmat fee's.

Powders, primers and bullets. Everything you could want. They were the only ones who had Varget in stock locally in both 1LB and 8LB canisters. Check in with them and see how it goes for ya.

I've never had any issues with anybody at the Reloading Shop at Angeles, and make a point of supporting them every trip in Angeles by buying something: brass, powder, etc. I really miss the Reloading Center in Northridge, however.

Prices are not to bad. Cheaper than buying reloading stuff online because of the hazmat fee. They were limiting the amount of primers sold per person in the past, not sure if they still are though.
