THIS.... is why I reload :D

Just did the math for my 6.5-284 reloads and came up with $12 for a box of 20 rounds. Price check online puts similar rounds at the cost of $60 for 20 rounds. For $60 I can make 100 rounds, 5X as much. Its amazing how much you can save with reloading or you could also say its amazing home much more you can shoot for the same cost of factory .

Yes, making premium ammo for the price of budget ammo definitely feels good. Making budget ammo for mere pennies also makes me happy.

It's too bad I had to spend $1,500 to save my self a few bucks.

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

I got started with a Lee kit for about ~$100. And I'm saving about $1 a round for match 308win.

I went on a bit of a spending spree a couple months ago. I actually spent about $500 on the tools and equipment that I consider to be "Necessary", $200+ on things that are "Nice to have", and about $800 on components (almost 1/2 of that was on primers ).

you shouldnt. you'll be forced to leave your family to sit long hours on your reloading bench, spend more money then you really have to buying reloading tools. Trust me, when you say, "this is the last tool I need.." you just didnt see beyond the horizon that there is another lurking. You'll end up spending more money then buying factory, you'll have more time to shoot at the range which means your money spent on range fee's. In the end, its more then a factory box of ammo. Dont reload. Its stupid and dumb!

                          (just saying this so I can have more primers/powders/components. :P :P )

My 308 Win cost me less than $10 for 20 rounds, and it shoots better than Federal Gold Medal Match ammo. The lowest price I have seen at the gunshop for the Federal match was $29.95.
