I'd say by continuing to try to legally sell online in CA, he IS fighting for us.

but you, you seem to already want to give in & give up

How is making money by selling a product he manufacture in California considered "fighting" for us? So what was he doing by selling to us before the law? A preemptive strike? He is in this for the sole purpose of making a profit. Helping pay for a legal battle to fight this law is what I would call helping.

As far as calling me out as a quitter, although I have not bought a metallic cartridge in a long time I have been financially helping support causes that fight such frivolous laws such as this so before you label somebody a quitter I think it is best you know that person first.

I would say continuing to sell, as you insinuate that many will turn tail and bail, is a form of fighting as it is making a statement he will stay and he will continue to provide. If others follow that lead, it makes a bigger splash, that bigger splash gets heard, that is his form of fighting. Not all fighting comes in the form of a monetary contribution as you say as that is how you seem to think of it: "pay" and "financially". Sometimes, fighting comes in the form of actions taken.... or in some peoples cases inaction is their choice.

ad don't cry to me about being labeled, go back and read your posts, you labeled me "misinformed" - when in fact, you seemed to not be clear on the facts.

oh, and lastly, you said "but once 2011 rolls around you tell me which online retailer will still sell to you." - well, we answered that already and one right here stepped up and then you try to downgrade his stepping up.

I agree this is probably store specific. Spoke with the guy at the American Canyon Walmart today. Really nice guy, totally friendly, asked me if I needed help right away and if I was looking for anything in particular. Rattled off the what he had in the common calibers. Pulled the sheet out and said he was getting some more in tonight.

Didn't say anything about them stopping ammo sales.

Gotta say it was the best customer service I have ever had at the ammo counter in a Walmart.

Once AB962 goes into affect he would be foolish to sell into California, this goes to every other one of your online retailers as well unless they want to commit a felony. His only legal means to do so is to sell to a retailer. You won't be buying direct anymore so I highly doubt you will continue seeing these "online" prices that make them look so reasonable to you now.

Your reply to the OP was misinformed since you sated that online retailers will pick up the slack for walmart pulling out of our market. I simply told you that AB962 is not just making walmart think twice about selling handgun ammunition in California but every online retailer as well.

Yes. There are things I'm involved in behind the scenes that are helping in the movement. I don't publicize every move my company makes. Just know I am on your side and am doing what I can to help from where I am and with the resources I have available to me. I don't wear my contribution on my chest like a patch. I do it to help, not for recognition.

I am in business to make a profit, same as any other business that is no secret. Like I stated above, I am helping in this fight as well as others, details of which are not public information.

He's been bitter towards me since our discussion about ammo resellers. I've got thick skin so I don't lose sleep over it. My role here on CGN is like a cop/lawyer. You don't like me until you need me, then you love me. Once it's over, you go back to not liking me, until you need me again. The cycle will continue.

I recently received the latest flyer from Cheaper Than Dirt which stated " no further ammo sales to CA after Jan. 2011, same from Cabela's, Sportsman's guide dates waffle back and forth so who knows with them. Nothing yet from Midway where I've got some .32 stuff backordered. This is their business and I beleive they're on top of it and have been awaiting the outcome even moreso than some of us...
