I'm shooting brazos bullets now because they're cheap and good. Not amazing, not poor quality, just plain good. Unless someone knows a better source, brazos are about $60 for about 850 bullets (sold by weight).

Everyone tends to just recommend the powder they use without much objective reason, because honestly there's not much objective reason to be had. If there is published load data of about 4-5 grain charge weight, it's a decent 9mm powder. If the charge is around 3 grains it'll be very economical and softer shooting. If it's closer to 6 grains it'll generate faster bullet speeds.

I'm using wins new 244 powder now, and it's good in full size guns. Not a great sub compact gun powder as it doesn't seem to get a complete burn. Terrible in 45 too.
