One powder I want to try in loading the 9mm Luger is Blue Dot in my Ruger PC Carbine. It seems to deliver top velocity in a longer barrel.
Power Pistol is good stuff, it's flashy though...and not exactly economical either.

BE-86 is my absolute #1 9mm powder. I haven't found another powder that burns as clean and gives the accuracy BE-86 does. It works so well that even Stevie Wonder would be a crack shot using it, it's that good.

Very dirty powder, not economical, does not meter well!!!!!!!!!
          Stay away!

For me, for most pistol calibers, that are not magnum, the best overall powder for economy, clean burning, good metering is WW231/HP-38

Now, if you are loading for a 9mm carbine for max velocity, AA#7.
          That is some fun stuff.

                I say Accurate #5...

Clean silky smooth powder that measures like water. No way to double charge a case. I like it also for 9mm in an AR platform...

For 9mm I've used a dozen pounds of #5 and lots of Unique, just getting rolling with titegroup. All perform well in 9mm.

big fan of unique for versatility, low price, impossible to double charge without noticing because it will spill over, never leaks because its flakey. I use it for 9,45,44,45-70. Only drawback is its dirty especially at low levels but nothing a few patches run through the gun cant fix.

I like Accurate #7 for 147 grain and Accurate #5 for 115 grain and 124 grain. Usually on the lighter end of the scale.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Another vote for W231, its very easy to see if you have a double charge. Thats one of the criteria I used when I started reloading. When starting out you want to minimize potential errors and understand the process well.
