Anyone try using polymer coated Blue Bullets?

In the particular brand of paint that I use, your choices are black and white....literally I have yet to find it in other colors.

HOWEVER I am going to start to experiment with other types of paint, so as cast more this summer (and I will be) every time I go to buy a can in black I will buy a can in a different kind and color of paint. Basically I want to figure out what options I have.

Just curious, are you actually using "paint" or is it something else but we're just calling it paint since you apply it like a spray paint can?

powder coat is a polymer so you could use both names to make yours bullets supper zippy sounding

While technically correct in that powder coating creates a polymer on the surface, the colloquial terms 'polymer coated' and 'powder coated' in reference to bullets generally do not refer to the same thing.

Powder coated bullets have a thicker coating due to the process of powder coating.

Polymer coated bullets (like hi-tech) have a much thinner coating that (to me) feels more 'slippery'.

A type of 'epoxy paint' yes and it works amazing. I would also be willing to do a demonstration any time I am free locally or by video.

I've had great luck with eggleston, and one batch (that just happened to be 3k, of which I loaded half...) are weird and I could never get them to cycle in any fun besides the Glock 43 I tested them in prior to loading a bunch. They're taking a long time to use up, 6 at a time.

Really the same thing both are polymers, the "powder" is the form its in
where Poly Coat is a form but marketing name, same thing maybe applied differently or like tomato tomaato whatever.

For me to make them is too much fussing unless you can take out the sizing part, then you do save time .

I cast and do my sizing / lubeing on a star which is real fast but the PC booltes in jazzy colors always get a reaction at the range specally the zombie green.

=) I imagine Home Depot would have it, I usually pick mine up at Lowes just because they are closer. Not a lot of Osh stores in my area. If your wanting to give er a go I will be happy to give you the recipe.

Only days I have off are Mon & Tues rest of the week is swing shifts at least for the next couple of weeks, after that I have no idea what the schedule is for my next post. Any of the other days I can go but I have to basically be done and getting ready for work by noonish.

Ill try to get some of the coated 40 done this weekend but if I dont I still have the same kind of pills in 45 that are ready to rock.
