Or possibly buy quality equipment to start with.

I have used and own high, mid, and low end equipment. For sure, from time to time you will have some issues regardless. I would said is your list, not mine.
I already have spent my money and so far is doing as intended. Everyone is free to use whatever wishes; at the end all we want for the equipment to produce ammo. I would think if a company makes such bad and low quality product, it would have been out of business by now.
It is sad that my finding were not taken as intended; instead, it has become another equipment bashing and closely inching towards intolerance of someone's opinion. Right now I feel that this reloading section has become a pre-school playground were kids are arguing that "My press is better than yours" or "You don't know what you are talking", etc. Come on grow up!!
By the way, I don't think that Stilly has a Lee Auto Drum; so he may not have anything to say about it. He has a Hornady case activated powder drop on his loadmaster.
Ok, I am done.Last edited by romukom; 04-01-2016, 9:37 PM.Comment

You are sure thin skinned. Maybe you should take you ball and just go home if you do not like the game.
My 1st comment has a lot of truth to it.
However it was really just meant as a ribbing and more toward Stilly who has a habit of touting lee as the greatest thing since sliced bread while putting down Dillon usually.
If you have used "high end and mid equipment" then why would you want the LOW END powder measure to start with? At least get a mid level product for such an important function.
It is not a mine is better than yours thing. It may be you do not know what you are talking about sometimes. Maybe it is you that needs to grow up and not be such a thin skin whiner. You did see the smiley face on my 1st post? That is just my way of saying I am ribbing you.......and Stilly.
So if the heat is too much for you in the kitchen maybe you should get out before you get anymore than 200 posts.
There was no intolerance of opinion in any posts except maybe yours for others who posted something that made you cry. Think about that for a min.
Yes lee does make some equipment that is good. I have some but have never been able, for many years, to get them to stand behind their war which is more often needed than other brands. Some of their stuff is just plain junk but there are enough people who are new, want to cut corners and such so the continue to sell it. One reason so many people have lee stuff for sale when they realize how much better another brand is and up-grade. Also some people just go along and never realize that there is so much better, faster, easier to use, less malfunctioning stuff out there. Ignorance is bliss for some.
OK I understand you are done.......in more than one way
OK I am not done but respectfully permit myself to enter or leave a post when I WANT.
Have a nice day.......and please when you post be more tolerant of others opinions even if they differ from yours. That is not equipment bashing always and my statements I can back up with real world experience since the 1960's until now the present day.
I have also helped out many others just starting. Yes I will tell them and everyone my thoughts on different pieces of equipment. Yes I help out the people who choose lee stuff just as politely ask other brands. Sometime especially lee stuff as they require more help often such as the POS so called lock rings on their dies. I suggest they replace them with the Hornady lock rings and say they are better than RCBS rings.

I have nothing really to say except that Lee might be for more of an older crowd at times it seems. ('cause us youngin's wanna go too fast!)
I started with the Lee Turret and I truly believe it is the FASTEST you can go on ANY NON progressive press before moving to a progressive press.
I started with the Lee Powder pro or autodisk or whatever it is called but I noticed that when I tried to go to fast, it would sometimes have the powder jump over the drop hole and fall off the edge of the plate and rain down onto me. That was why I migrated to a LNL powder dropper with case activated linkage.
Even messing with the Loadmaster (oh no! not another thread about a Loadmaster!) I find that it seems to WANT to go fast, but the design somewhat holds it back. I migrated my LNL dropper to it and that was fine but the primer chute does NOT like you going fast, at least not the LEE design. I still have to try the Magic Mike design. I think his is unlocked so you can go faster.
Other than that, Lee has a lot of great things. Does that mean that EVERY single little thing they have is perfect? No, but they do have GREAT alternatives to some of the more expensive things out there and they do have some good designs that do work well. Lee is the defender of our wallet. I will always like them for that. Some of us try to squeeze out every penny we can get and do not have wads of cash to throw away into the wind and become a mindless phreak.
Also, isn't this a first generation drum they came out with? Now that they have had a chance to test it out with many other folks I am sure there will be an improvement made to fix this issue. Get ready to send in a check for $1.75 + shipping...
I also do not put down Dillon as much as I do their powder dropper or mindless zombies that roam the forums looking for a way to spout their blue propaganda much like those idiots that pop into a thread about how to replace a graphics card in a PC and all they say is "GET A MAC!" - THOSE people need to be smacked HARD with a dead garibaldi and then go to hell and die...
Besides. I just discovered another flaw in the loadmaster parts. It could be me, but it is another reason to migrate towards another press. It is a minor issue, but nonetheless, it bugged the hell out of me when it happened and now I am paranoid until I get a fix for it.
Heh. I was wondering when MY name would be brought up in Lee thread... Thank you for thinking of me.

My apologies to Divernhunter and the rest. I guess it doesn't help to be up since 4:00 am yesterday doing so many things on my end when I made that post.
I guess that I have thin skin after all despite that I thought the opposite. It was my best intention to let people know to watch out if they happen to have one of these powder measures. That intention made me fail to see that you were joking towards Stilly and I took it personally (I should have not).
I should have just reported and let who ever need to use the information. Anyway, I am starting to feel embarrassed about the whole thing. Yep, I admit that today I got taught a good lesson.
As far as reloading experience, I can't measure your experience. I only started last November. You know, 50 years vs 5 months. I can't beat that
Again My apologies to all.Last edited by romukom; 04-02-2016, 5:13 PM.Comment

^^👍👍
I think if I had this issue, I would use the band clamp. I think the zip tie will stretch, and continued use may fatigue that casting enough to break the tab on the bottom.Tire kickers gonna kick,
Nose pickers gonna pick

romukom---Apology accepted---No harm .....no foul
We all get caught off guard sometimes and at least you admitted to it.
Sometimes I do not like the fact I have been reloading for so long.......makes me just feel older if you know what I mean. But the experience and knowledge does come in handy.
As I use to tell my students and workers---Experience is when you are given the test before the lesson.
You take care and if I can actually be helpful just let me know.
Stilly---Anytime I think of lee I think of you
I have noticed you have backed off the lee is the greatest and others are just overpriced stand you were noted for. Good for you. You are starting to come around. However it does take some of the fun away
Also us OLD, long time reloading people are not the lee crowd. We figured lee out long ago. Heck I remember when all they had was powder dippers and a set that you used a hammer with to make ammo. I had one in 12gauge for awhile before going to a Mec. Never got one for rifle/pistol loading. Learned my lesson and got a RCBS kit to start with.
You have a good day also.---Take CareLast edited by Divernhunter; 04-02-2016, 11:37 PM.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

We are all good. One thing that life thought me, is to have integrity and own the mistakes.
I will take that offer, but at this moment I don't have a particular question to ask.
I already submitted an E-ticket to Lee for this issue. One thing that struck me when I was filling the form was the question "What would you like Lee to do about your inquiry?" I never seen that before.
I will be reporting back if this issue comes back.Last edited by romukom; 04-03-2016, 6:23 AM.Comment

I though it was me . On my 3rd powder set up . BUT , I keep my books [ reloading - powder throw aways , manuals ] on shelf behind press .
Dillon may be top of line - but not for everyone . They don't make dies for the / my 25 ACP or 50 AE .
When I bough my turret , they had not 5 die Dillon's in stock - just one lee .
But even Lee does not sell a case feeder for the 50 AE .
One tube of bullets / tray of cartridges and I re-check the powder dump .
I was loaned a better powder dump set up - but even it was off any 2 tubes of 9 mm . [ maybe it was wore out - guy was selling it to replace ]
I don't like Lee or any other auto primer set up .
For what it is worth , I would like to try a 6 or 7 die turret . No one sells one around here and special orders - no thanks .
I de-prime and prime off press . I only use jacketed bullets , CCI primers , hodgdon powders and have nieces / nephews that reload here [ only when I am here . ] That probably makes me 1 in 10,000 reloaders that do that .
Others are free to do as they wish , I will be dumb staying with Lee , CCI , Hodgdon and jacketed bullets .
I saw a 6 or 7 die press in Henderson Nevada [ I think ] but given the choice between a new press or 1911 - I went for the 1911 , [ the press was not that much , but at in 6 turrets and other things - I will just resize bullets separately .life member - CRPA and NRA

Call lee or titan and they will send you out a new one in exchange. Trying to rig something up is going to lead to some powder issue and possibly injury.
My powder drum has made it close to 10K rounds so far and still strokes just fine.Originally posted by pacratWhat part of Cuba are you located in, Havana? Or closer to Guantanamo?Comment

Due to my schedule I have been buying more components and helping others lately, but I am starting to get back into the swing of things. Tomorrow I believe that I will be casting as many .45 HPs that I can while using my NOE brass 2 cav mold.
After that, I will be trying ladders on .45, but since the **** is setup for 9mm, I think I will PC some more 9mm today and crank out a few thousand of those before I switch back to .45 ACP. Besides, I sent a text to my friend and he never even replied so I guess he does not wanna come over and make some 9mm. WTFE I dunno what is wrong with the guy but oh well. Maybe it was something I said.
And I just found out that RCBS being as cool as they are has an upgrade feature that will allow you to upgrade the PC-5 to a PC-7. SO you can essentially buy your PC-5 now and if you NEED those extra 2 holes, upgrade later on for a few hundred dollars more...
Until then, I am gonna stabilize my Lee and fire up the red Dillon killer and see how it handles the new priming pieces.7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...
