    Lead Casting

hey guys, I'm thinking of getting into casting my own bullets. where's the best place to buy the lead? I looked online and it's pretty expensive. its not much cheaper that buying plated bullets. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

You can find it on eBay sometimes for a 1$ a pound plus shipping. I just bought 26#s for 32$ shipped. Roto metals can be pricey but the quality is good also check out castboolits forum. What size boolit are you thinking of casting?

Local metal scrapper will sell lead ~$0.70-$1 a pound. Ask around tire shops for their lead wheel weights.

Last year, someone was trying to give away about 3000 lbs on here. The catch was you had to haul off the entire sailboat.

There are boat salvages that scrap sailboats and you can buy the keel for cheap....

If you want to go hard core- batteries... car batteries.... Many will have a $9 core charge, but you need to figure out how much lead is in them....

Get creative with the min wage guys at the parts shop and buy some dead batteries
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
