I dump Lapua brass at our local range and there are always two or three people watching it hit the ground waiting to pounce on it. One Shooter asked me if he could have it and I told him it is only good for scrap metal if he is selling scrap take it all.
Right away one of the guys eyeing the brass said its Lapua its great brass. I told him I reload and the brass was $1 a piece and you think I am throwing out good brass?
They took it anyway. A month goes by and while shooting I hear a guy talking to his buddy say hey that guy is dumping Lapua brass. The other guy says leave it when that guy dumps brass it is completely useless.
If I don't see it come out of a factory sealed box I would never pick up or use range brass. You never know what you are getting.

        Does everyone feel better now?
I feel better now that somebody brought popcorn .

Lynn : How many loads are you getting from that Lapua brass . I'm hear reports of guys getting 40 reloads from good brass out of bolt guns . I've not even got close to that number . I have 10 loads on some brass that still looks real good .
        Tolerate
allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

Anyone else find it sad that those who preach tolerance CAN'T allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that they do not necessarily like or agree with) without interference.

I write almost everything in a jovial manner regardless of content . If that's not how you took it please try again

          9 loads on 338 Lapua 22 loads on 6br 8 loads on 6 Dasher made from 6br 5 loads on 6mm-06 made from 30-06. 10 loads on 243.
With all these cases they get tossed when the largest primers will no longer stay inside a pocket.
On 300 Ackley brass made out of 300 H-H or 300 Weatherby brass it gets one fireforming load then 2 match loads and it will no longer hold any primer.
Necks seem to outlast pockets since cheap methods of annealing are now commonplace.

I heard that if you have really top quality brass like Remington brand 260 Remington, you should seal in the primer a few times with blue locktite.

I will pass on the "loc-tite".

In 48 yrs of reloading/handloading. The only damage I've ever done to a rifle was caused by a blown primer. Busted the handle off a Remington getting it open.
