Fwiw, I was shooting ZQI 7.62x51 from WallyWorld through my M1A Loaded several weeks ago and was getting 2-3 inch groups at 100 yards. That was from a bench off of my range bag with irons. And I wasn't really shooting for heavy duty accuracy - just trying to get a general feel as to how accurate the ammo and rifle were.

I think I get your point OP but for the money I really like the ZQI. Certainly not match ammo but for general range time it's great.

Zq1 in 5.56 is good enough for about an inch at 100. Its some of the better cheap 5.56 ammo out there. Weird its so bad in 7.62.
I would like to see some MOA 5 shot groups at 100 yards with 5.56.

Thats in a bolt gun, and thats not very good shooting. Ive posted targets before, but im not that sure why people are hesitant to believe about an inch groups at 100. Thats kinda sloppy. Im not shooting an AR with irons or anything. Thats shot with a 12 power scope off a bench with bags and a bipod from a bolt gun. Most people with this setup just make ragged holes, im not bragging about groups around an inch.

Both of my M1A's group at approximately 2 to 3 inches. I challenge anyone to find reloadable 7.62x51 for .50 cents a round. This **** is a good buy.

I shot about 200 rounds of mixed ammo, including about 100 ZQI 308 at Calguns Burro Canyon Shoots. PTR91GI The guy that did the ZERO in at 170 yards loved the ammo and did great. I was RSO so having the PTR91 done for me was great. Old ammo over 10 years old sucks=No kick no power. I bought almost 2000 rounds of ZQI at 41cents when Walmart had them on sale for hunting season opening, 20=$7.95 vs $9.95.

I just like the ZQI because it's cheap and reloadable. And yes, you will be hard pressed to find range safe, reloadable brass-cased ammo for less than $0.50, so I really don't care for its alleged inaccurate qualities.

Awful lot of spilled powder on your table there. Sure those numbers are accurate?

If you're interested in squeezing all the accuracy you can out of them, try reloading them with the original components. Pull the bullets, save and average the powder, neck size the case, refill with a more consistent charge, reseat and carry on. It's a lot of work but might be worth it. Costs nothing but your time.

Accuracy is not an issue. Have you seen the way those guys shoot over there in them other countries, then just blind fire over the walls and stuff.

I found 12 boxes of this stuff at walmart in moreno beach. Err, Valley on moreno Beach. :\

                          -6MOA
-Bullets are 147gr OR 149gr on the dot.
-Powder is ball like with many inconsistencies.
-Powder is averaged at 43.6gr with a low of 43.2gr and a high of 44.4gr
-Primed Cases avg at 177.1gr with a low of 175.8gr and a high of 179.8gr
                          -OAL consistent at 2.790

                          PRICE:
                          10.77 after tax for 20 = 53.8 cents each

                          verdict:
Good reloadable brass but joke of a load. Even pulling the bullets and reloading is nearly useless.
My father in law and I were bangin 600 yard steel this last weekend with a 17mph wind with this ammo. From what I could see its great stuff. We were shooting my .308 Tikka.

I shoot tons of this stuff through my AR308 with no issues. I get pretty decent groups with it especially for surplus. I don't recall ever shooting 6 moa with this ammo. I'll have to bring out my chrono and take some bench shots next time I go.
