If the cases that are buckling are longer (I assume you are not trimming) they could be starting to crimp before fully seated and buckling the case while seating.

Either set your seat/crimp die to the longest case of the bunch after resizing, or seat and crimp in separate steps.

to much crimp maybe you need a tapper crimp not roll crimp.

I have had odd ball dies that would not size all the way down the case I took ther die and ground down the mouth as flush as I could and that allowed more case to feed into the sizing parts helped as lot.

Then i just bought new dies in my case dillion carbide and that solved all my problems.

Buy thenle wilson case guage it wont rust over time. After a while you'll feel you dont need it. But for something like a 1911 thats somewhat annoying to take down or a long rifle you have to take pit and set up it might be worth the coin.

Try the LEE 9mm Undersized Carbide sizing die, it sizes about .002" smaller.
One of my 9mm pistols has a tighter chamber than the others, this took care of the problem.

Sounds like you're not going the full stroke on some of the brass. Adjust the die down far enough so the handle seems to go a little over center. That way you will be able to feel that the brass is fully sized.

                  Bullet not seated deep enough?

You definitely need more crimp on the bullet to prevent setback.

Is the round in the last photo the one that is shown in the earlier photo that will not drop all the way into the barrel?

ok so I just started messing with it again and i think the crimp is the issue so I readjusted it and seems to be alot better

yes the round that was in the barrel was that same i was holding

This is interesting as I'm having the same problem using X-tream 9mm 24 gr. FP.
The work fine in my Browning HP and my XD9 but won't feed properly in my
Kimber, seems kimber hads tighter tolerances.
I did just order and undersize die to try.
It's not a crimp problem as I have tried more crimp and same thing.
Using Dillion 550B with dillion dies.
So I will follow this thread.

Dillon is a progressive, and you can't push the case into the die far enough on progressives to completely size some cases. 9mm seems especially prone to this, and I also shoot a lot of open bolt subgun, which swells the brass a lot. I size everything on a single stage first, and then do most of the loading on my Dillon.

                            What about length?

                            What is your COAL?
.357 Magnum has the right idea for undersizing dies. Evolution Gun works has an undersized .40 and maybe a 9mm die that they contract with Lee to make for them. I dunno if you can buy the die direct from Lee or FS reloading, but if you can not find it, check out http://www.egwguns.com/index.php?p=c...arent=266&pg=1

They seem to have multiple calibers there.

Are you using a Dillon die set? I've never had a problem on the 450 or a 550 with sizing when using Dillon dies. Before switching, when using standard dies from other companies, I did notice the occasional problem.

You say the shell holder touches the bottom of the die. Does it touch while RESIZING THE BRASS or when it's empty? It should just touch when you are resizing.
