Well my iPhone finally took a dive the other day. I was trying to hold out for a 32gb galaxy, but I couldn't wait any longer.

Yes I looked at the note, but it's just too Damm big.

Anyway, what are some must have apps for andriod?

    Thanks guys

must have apps will really depend on whether or not you root it - if rooted IMHO the single most important must have app would be Titanium Backup, followed by a better launcher - I am using Apex

play with the different browsers (I like both Chrome & Dolphin depending on what I am doing) try out different messaging apps (I am currently using Chomp for a reason that I can't seem to remember, but I do remember there was a specific reason for it)

and don't forget the Amazon app store's free app of the day - which have all been crap for some time now.

I used to jailbreak my iPhone all the time. I haven't in probably almost 2 years. I've helped friends root their phones years ago. I used to be into that years again, now I just want a working phone.

I read a long time ago year some app killer apps can be bad for the phone. Something to do with making it crash. Any truth to that?

I have had different versions of the iPhone since it first came out and I couldn't think of changing to a different brand. To be honest the only reason I can ever think of is the fact that I don't want to convert over all my contacts. Its just so easy using iTunes to convert everything.

I've had the iPhone since the 3g. I'm just tired of the poor battery life and call quality.

Owning a macbook made the switch hard as well.

I've always added my contacts into Google as well, so that wasn't a big deal. There is defiantly a big learning curve switching to android.

            oh yes - contacts
sync everything to Google (and the NSA) and you will never loose your contacts again or have to re enter them should anything happen to the phone.

as far as rooting the phone, I would do it just to run Ti Backup - I have never really been into the whole custom ROMs thing... but then again I use a Nexus.

What's TI backup? What's it good for?

I would recommend rooting your phone if possible.

Some apps on my Galaxy S4 that I use a lot:
                    • Podkicker - Podcast player and organizer
                    • Waze - GPS application with built in traffic monitors
                    • Yousnap - Converts a picture to PDF
                    • AdFree - Requires a rooted phone. Removes most in-app advertising

I use SwiftKey keyboard too. Pandora for some free music, tune in radio will let you listen to almost any radio station. Scanner radio is cool if you like listening to scanners. I'll think of some more later. If you can come up with an idea of what a useful app would be, they've probably already got it in the playstore.

Pandora sells your information. I deleted that account along time ago.

Waze is a good one. I had that on my iPhone.

I'll probably root it bow just to get the ad free thing. That makes it worth it for me.
