I hate these CalGuns outages. They result in a 65-70% spike in productivity here at work. Completely unacceptable!

Just virtualize it on an ESX cluster - because it's magic, and IO can be virtualized which is obviously faster - just ask any manager - it was in the marketing brochure....

It's a server/hosting issue. Those in charge refuse to do anything about it, like many other things, and just point fingers. It will never be fixed.

Let's compare... AR15.com has almost 6,000 users online at the time of this post, where as CalGuns has a bit over 2,000... Yet CalGuns loads in 1.891s (granted I got it to load at all) and AR15.com loads in only .526s. You do the math.

The NSA database center in Utah is going on-line. It takes a little more time as they need to record everything first.

No, I don't think so. The argument last year was the website exceeding its bandwidth. Otherwise I would assume it's merely a slow connection combined with piss poor web hosting. But that's just me. Very few people know what the real story and they won't tell you the truth.

I've used different browsers---very slow today. Twenty seconds plus per page. Other sites are loading normally---any one else today? 03/09/14

Mine is slow too! i thought it was my wireless acting up. I say we demand refunds! Compensation! Now!
