I still haven't figured out how they award the Fighter and Bomber trophies.

I know they say they give it to the person with the most air kills or surface kills, but ... that's not always the case.

I just got it in the game I played a few minutes ago. The fighter trophy, I mean. I had 5 air kills, which isn't bad, but there was another guy on my team that had 7 air kills, and a guy on the other team that had 8 or 9. So how did I get the trophy which goes to the guy with the most air to air victories?

I tried this one out with great hope several months ago.
Found it to be garbage.
Tried it again a month ago and gave up altogether. FM's seem to be very simple, damage models are junk, inferior to IL2 '46+mods in all but eyecandy.

And compared to DCS/IL2 CoD its just laughable.
But it will be a hit with the sim lite crowd.

Because that is the way it was pitched to me.
It was right around the time we all realized CoD was sinking, and long before the modders took over it. Some dude came over on 1C forums extolling this wonderful new hardcore sim with great graphics. So I took a shot and singed up for the beta. It did look good after all and was dismayed after the obvious failures of CoD.
But I was disappointed. It seems more akin to Aces of the Pacific, with a lot more polish.

And I mean hey, there is a market for that. Even RoF has realized that with its recent sellout to steam, but that's not the crowd I'm in.

did you only play in arcade mode or the FRB? cause in arcade, the FM's are very simple, only in FRB is it full sim.

I cant get the FRB's to work. Historic battles are sweet but have a 2min+ wait time on average it seems.

can't get FRB to work? did you first do the tutorials for it? it doesn't let you enter a FRB game unless you complete all FRB tutorials.

and yes HB does have long wait times due to the fact that not many players like to play HB. when you can't make 12g turns, and reload ammo on the fly, it weeds out 90% of players.

I haven't played much this week, been too busy with work. I'll probably be on for a few hours tomorrow morning, though.

I bought a year's worth of Premium last weekend though. It was 50% off, and the gold eagles to buy it with were 27% off, so I figure it was worth it. It'll be even MORE worth it when the ships part of the game comes online ...
