WarThunder Anyone?

What are your system specs, if you don't mind my asking. Trying to gauge how it will run on mine.
I've got an intel duo 2 quad 6700, planning on upgrading to 8 gigs of memory and an nvidia gtx650 graphics card. I think I've got some room to upgrade the cpu too if needed.

It's been my experience with combat flight sims/games, you need at least 30 fps to be playable; the more the better.

6 GB G-Skill DDR2-800 (my 4th stick died)
Gigabyte MA785G-UD3H motherboard
2x Visiontek Radeon HD 4870 512MB (CrossfireX, but I think that hurts more than it helps in WT)
OG Logitech G15 w/all 18 G-keys
OG Logitech MX Revolution, non-bluetooth
Thrustmaster HOTAS-X, but I'm playing with keyboard and mouse now
Corsair 1kW PSU, single 12v rail
Acer 22" 1080p monitor

Okay, I'd just like to say that dive bombing is ridiculously fun. I just center-punched a destroyer with a thousand pounds of pain, and that was SO rewarding.

was using USSR planes, mostly the su-2 bomber and I-153 chaika.

sadly still lost the game.

What the hell gun setup does the I-153 have? I keep seeing it just CHEW through anything / everything in like a half-second burst.

it has quad 7.62 shkas machine guns. those things in half a second spit out at least a dozen rounds each. hence why they just rip up anything. but of course since it is only 7.62 they only do dmg at close range (under 600m)

Aircobra, just got my first king saving up to the second one lol. For some reason you unlock two at level 9. I've been somewhat tempted to start a new account I've spent to much time bouncing around countries buying different planes and am always broke.

Huh. I've been playing just as USA so far, haven't had any money issues yet. In fact, after buying my Airacobra today (it was just unlocked for me at USAAF level 6) I've still got about 100,000 lions left.

I've got level 9 US, level 9 British and level 8 Russian. That's a lot of planes. I think just recently they reduced the price of planes as well but I could be wrong.

talk about being expensive trying to afford all of them. although i do keep some at lower levels to make it easier.

btw how did you guys deal with the p-40? i'm having the hardest time trying to use that plane, or actually any of the higher level usa planes. i know they are BnZ (boom and zoom) planes but i still can't seem to do well with them.

I don't have any issues using the P40. It's one of my favorites, actually. Once you get all the upgrades it does quite well.

The AM6 rocks my cobras. Even doing BnZ it turns so quick it's on my 6 before I'm out of range. Now I avoid them even more then the Yak-9. P-40 is actually pretty nice once you get the handling figured out it took some getting used to for me. I've been halfheartedly working on leveling germany just to try out the 109s to see how they are. My favorite so far are the Spitfires, only complaint is low cannon ammo. I run fighters only lol, closest I come to a bomber is my P47 with 2 1k pound bombs, 1 500 pounder, 10 rockets and 8 .50 cals


Anyone feel free to add me, I'm not that great but I'd much rather play with calgunners/in a squad then a bunch of randoms. I'm usually on during the day or after 11:30 when I'm done tanking for my guild in WoW.
