Skyrim...wait for it...LEGENDARY!

No thank you on Lydia or any follower, they just bring me down. Back stabbing deathlords and the like in a dungeon is how I roll. I stopped all the main quests because I need to get to lvl 46 for top tier stats, so I have been doing the deadric quests. I cleared a place without being seen once before this morning, so awesome.

Only follower worth a damn in the game is Serana from the Dawnguard DLC. Invincible followers have their benefits.

Remember, in Skyrim you can have all skills to a native "100". "Skill Points" are just there to fine tune your play style. The only skills im filling in the tree entirely are Blacksmithing and Enchanting.

This allows me to fashion any armor or weapon to suite my playstyle

I've played through into the mid 80s in "the big 3" class styles. Mages at first really suck, but come out big time in the end....i guess like just about any class based game.


I hate to say this, I was really let down by skyrim.

I wasn't. It's still quite fun, and no doubt I'll be playing it for years to come. All the TES games differ from each other, when you get bored with one, play the others. I'll probably go back to Oblivion in a bit, or Morrowind. I dunno.

Skyrim rules cept when a dragon attacks and it kills a valuable NPC. I wish they would respawn after a few days. In one game that first blacksmith was killed in riverdale or whatever it is called and I did not really pay much attention but I kept seeing his body float in the water so I dragged him out and let him float downstream hoping that he would poof and be back and he never came back. I lost a vendor

Then in the second character I made that guys wife was killed and I tried to buy something from him right after it happened (dragon attack) and he got all emo on me and said something like "can't you see I am in mourning?" or something and then just stormed off... He was fine a few days later though so no harm no foul and his ***** wife made it hard for me to keep attacking him in the house to boost my sneak so it all worked out.

The way it works is like this. If you got all skills to 100, that would be it. No more leveling, maxed out. But if you set a skill as Legendary, that skill is reset to 15, no loss of level and all of the perk points are returned to you. As you level that skill up, it in turn drives your level up and you earn new perk points. So you get the dual benefit of moving your level up, with corresponding increases in magic/ health/ stamina, and more perk points.

Downside: You lose the abilities that you had when that skill was 100. For example, smithing. I was at 100 so I crafted my dragon bone armor set, tuned it up on the bench and went Legendary. Then I realized I couldn't make special arrows no mores. Luckily I had like 2k so I didn't have to resort to dragging a follower around or do the Solitude guard arrow trick, which is good since my pickpocketing suxxors.

Played through with 2 characters on xbox. Awesome game. Don't have the pc to play the upcoming mmo.

I've looted so much crap and have so much money I just stock up on arrows wherever I'm at. I also have the archery perk were you retrieve 50% more arrows or something like that. I've been using the same hundred daedric arrows for I dont know how long.

How many mods are you running? Just yesterday I finally got my 83 mods to run without crashing at all.

I have never used Legendary skills, i use the Community Uncapper mod instead, that way skills increase up to 250 i believe

I do not get it. How do you set a skill to Legendary? Yes, I never RTFM. ONCE I saw that my speech was at 110, but I had the necklace and masque of clavicus vile on. Did not really get why it said 110, but it did and it was green. So let me get this straight, you "turn a skill legendary" somehow by doing something ONLY once it is at 100 and it allows you to go back in time to level 15 and then build it up again, and thus you get the extra few perks that come with building it up again? Can you do this with all of the skills or just a few?

Now I am gonna go look to see what it can do that with. I never saw a way to make anything legendary, but Archery would sure be nice because I find that most of my shots are a one hit kill now that I have a legendary dragon bone bow that dishes out 291 damage and I am only at level 50ish with this new character.
