Playing for free works pretty well up to about T5/6. One you start trying to grind up Tier 7/8 range stuff its a GRIND! You will want that 50% premium bonus. While its more costly if you do it all the time I like to buy premium for a week at a shot if I have a week I expect to have extra free time. Or when they have bonus weekends. Ie, usually you get x2 exp for the first win of the day. But they do promo weekends where you get x3 or even x5 for the first victory of the day. I make sure I get a win in ALL my tanks on those days.

Log onto the World of Tanks website. Under your profile, click redeem code and enter "VETERANSDAY" for a free 1 day premium account upgrade. After the 24 hours is over, enter "GGWP" for a free 3 day premium account upgrade.

Use the 1 day code first because it is only valid for this weekend.

Premium account = x1.5 credits and x1.5 XP. This combines with the first win daily multiplier.

Holiday weekend = x5 XP for first win of day.
Non-holiday = x2 XP for first win of day.

buying Elite tanks is crap! Total waste for one tank. :-/

Okay, that might be an exaggeration. Good for crew training or getting XP to convert for other tanks (costs gold but oh well). Still kinda shuts you down because those tanks aren't upgradable and are totally outside of the tech tree.

The Panther is disappointing. I would expect more out of it.

Yeah I saw those,the GGWP worked but the VETERANSDAY code wouldn't work for some reason.

premium tanks depending is really just credit makers. xp too if you are willing to spend more money. they get better matchmaker slots and boosted xp/credit earnings.

I started to play a week ago...got to say I like this game. It would be cool to have a cal guns clan going.

What tanks are you guys using?
iam using m2 lt(upgrading it soon). Just got a m3 lee, and been using a pzIII. Had do down grade the pzIII from the 7.5 to 5 barrel. The 7.5 was nice but cant hit the broad side of a barn with it, at 200m. The 5 works great, just not as much punch.

Ive been playing this game with a few friends since Beta, and I have so many tanks right now its embarrassing.

so far and getting close to tier 10 french and American heavies.

Early clan war gold did help in converting a bunch of free exp to bypass the grinding.
