Modern cables are all digital, get the cheapest one you can find. Some companies, like Monster Cable, tries to convince you that their high priced gold plated cable will allow for a better connection and clearer picture etc. Some people buy into that, thinking that these cables are like those in the analog world (eg. TVs and monitors from 20 years ago).

Today, if it connects, you get good picture. If it doesn't work, return it. There is no such thing as connect but getting poor quality video due to bad cable.

HDMI is DIGITAL, no noise unlike the ANALOG cable, RCA - Component, the 3 color RGB Component Cable and S-Video which is noisy which needs a good shielded/insulated cable to minimize the noise.

I am using the cheapest available HDMI and DVI cable on the market.

this entirely. Im still using that same aforementioned 20ft hdmi ( that im pretty sure is longer than hdmi spec? I know usb is only good for like 6 or 10feet.. )

best 2$ i can remember spending

Consider Blue Jeans cable. Excellent products, good prices, very quick shipping. Many of their products made in Seattle.

YES! Its a 1 or a 0 that gets transmitted. A cheap cable wont occasionally send a 3. Some of the really cheap cables may fall apart though. I got some of the bluerigger cables from amazon for about 5 bucks and have no problem

Just whatever you choose, don't choose Monster. Overpriced

I have had no problems with $3 cables from eBay on the literal slow boat from China, but I am only doing 1080p on my 32" via XBOX 360, Roku, or Fios HD box..

                    EDIT: a 1 is a 1, and a 0 is a 0. So if it passes signal, one should be G2G, right?
                    1.4 stated in 1st product.
I usually buy these in QTY of say 3+, after verifying I won't get double-dinged on shipping.

I did get a $8 HDMI that didn't work at Fry's but i brought it back and the next one worked. Not bad for $8.
I second this. Just make sure you find the frys branded cable. At the one by me they don't keep them next to all the others and are kinda hidden out of the way 2 aisles over. $6 for 10 ft and have never had a problem.

A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.-Thomas Jefferson

Just go for the cheap ones. They will work fine for your intended purpose.

AND if you go with cheap ones, you won't be p'd-off when the $30-60(?) monster cable fails, if you bought a lot of say 3+ of the cheap ones, as you will have spares, and for less...
