    Reasonably priced HDMI cable?

Amazon has quite a few options, but it's scary low priced. I see a few for $5-$7 for 15 feet, which is more reassuring than 10 feet for less than $3. Has anyone purchased a particular brand that works well? I just want it for using my TV to display my laptop screen.

if you're not planning to pull it in and out and it will stay plugged in then just buy the cheap one if you need 3d make sure it is 1.3 or higher.

Every cable is at least certified. I've never had a problem with the "discount" HDMI cables.

If you live by a Fry's (or equivalent) pick one up there. They are cheap and if they don't work you can drive it back instead of ship it and wait a week to get the next one in the mail. I did get a $8 HDMI that didn't work at Fry's but i brought it back and the next one worked. Not bad for $8.

I bought cables from amazon, and they have lasted just as long as any expensive HDMI cables I have bought before.

Not sure if serious. Don't believe all the hype over the different versions and different types of support. It is all marketing hype. HDMI is digital. The signal doesn't degrade like analog signal.

I think you live in the Comcast area, but around here you can just ask any Time Warner Cable guy for one. I hand them out all the time. You ask one if you ever see a cable guy around. If they are a contractor, than it may be a different story.

The only thing I have experienced with "cheap" off brand cables, is the plug (read metal part) sometimes tend to separate from the cowling (or whatever the right name is).
That being said, I have been using many cheapy HDMI cables at work for several years now and have never had a problem.
