Currently they only fall over due to ramming, and apparently that's still buggy at best. The devs specifically said "no legging".

I sent my essay but apparently being brand loyal to nvidia since I've owned computers, playing battletech for 20 years and liking the mechwarrior universe enough to give my son "phelan" as his middle name wasn't a good reason to get an invite.

That was me. For me half the fun was building and painting my figures. Heck, I even created some of my own with balsa. I played some of the other computer iterations over the years too. Just have a feeling I'd be out geeked by some of these neo-nerds and have it be less than fun.

If you buy one of the top two founders packs you get to pick 1 of 4 mechs, I don't think the Warhammer is one of them. Actually the top founders pack gets you all 4 mechs. I picked an Atlas. I didn't see a Timberwolf/Madcat in there which is my "go to" mech. If you get the pack now you get into closed beta....... The game is also free to play (like Star Trek online) so its really all you will be paying for unless you want to throw down cash to get more XP or whatever in the future.

Beta status still pending, but that's okay I don't mind waiting, there is other e-crack to indulge in in the meantime
