iPad is nice right now because this work meeting sucks.

I don't have a tampod. But I use my touchpad mainly for browsing the webs in beds.

Web and email when I'm being casual and not hauling my laptop around with me.

            Note taking at low-intensity meetings.

Reference, research, weather forecast, etc. when at home and need info quickly

Electronic book when eating by myself or traveling

Videos/movies when need to be entertained (used to watch Netflix on it before I killed off the streaming service because they jacked up the price).

The thing definitely doesn't have the chance to collect dust.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a Flash Browser App that will work well with Hulu or other sites that stream video using flash?

I just bought one a few days ago after holding out. When iPad 1 hit, I thought I'd never use a tablet. Then I noticed how heavily I used my smartphone for not voice tasks. I came to the realization that when I'm not really working and just consume Internet based media, I really don't need my laptop.

Anyway, I actually composed a short reflection on my iPad/tablet justification earlier this morning: http://www.ocabj.net/?p=1739

Only used it when I'm on the toilet.

I have had my iPad 1 for a while now (1 1/2 years) and I almost never take my laptop on trips. I use the iPad to check my email and pay bills while I am out of town. I love it.

I've downloaded a ton of manuals for various home devices (and some of my guns) as PDFs onto it. Much easier than having to dig through drawers to find that damn manual.

Been traveling with it a lot, I read books and news on it. I've sometimes used it to watch a movie via Netflix. It's also great to control my iTunes-enabled computer when I play music.
I do the same thing with some of my reloading stuff, very handy.
