The greater the ability to crunch data, the more we will be able to solve, discern and eventually...predict.

Imagine enough computing power to predict the apparent random behavior defined by Brownian Motion.

Weather prediction is already in another realm of understanding, but as yet, we can't truly trace the butterfly's beat of wings to the typhoon.

    Coming soon?

As far as cost I pay, 60.59 for what they call "Internet Basic 6". Year and a half ago it was 1.5 to 3.0 for about 10.00 less. According ATT the max that I can get is 8.0 to 10.00 mbps for a 110.30 a month. This is as of about two months ago that I last rattled their cage.

I think I know all the field techs that work my area for the last 20 years by their first names. (Old brittle copper wire infrastructure dating to 1972).

I guess it's still better than the old dial up and using GEnie as the Internet provider. (18.00 an hour daytime rate, but free after 18:00 hrs.)

I guess the last time I had DSL may have been in that area. Cable and fiber are fast AF boy. My cable isn't cheap, but it is about 800-900 Mb/s now I think.

Once that rolls out, the rural folks will still have 3G speeds. And will proclaim it proudly.

AT&T sold their DSL service to Frontier Com. a little while back and gave you a choice of going with Frontier Com or At&T Uverse; which killed my reliable landline phone. Lose Internet lose phone.

No cable in my area. Not many options.
