    OMG Far Cry 4!

So yeah, it has been out about a year or so now but I was having so much fun playing Far Cry 3 that I cared not to load any others up.

The graphics are cool, it is a total trip at times.

If you were THINKING about it, it seems that this particular title seems to be moving more and more towards drugged based/themed games.

There is a cool mission where you have to go into a drug lab and kill the chemist...

The makers went OVER the top with that. Shooting people and the colored smoke that erupts from them was fun and crazy to see...

Then there is an Anthony Sidaris type of personal hovercraft that you can find in the game alongside a road. I was driving around in a toyota truck and I stopped and got into it. LOTS of fun, but it gives you no protection.

They also have a buzzer or a seat with a control box and linkage with a motor strapped to the back similar- VERY similar to the road warriors helicopter from the movie. Man, load up on ammo/nades and go hunting. There is a one handed grenade launcher in the game that can be carried as a sidearm. NICE to use in the helo and rain down on bad guys...

The game seems opium/drug based with the location and all and then there is the whole trip to hmm, that one place. Not sure how to get there, but you are in a dream fighting demons the entire time with a white Tiger that wears battle armor that becomes invisible from the demons until it attacks them...

Crazy. But it is hella fun in the arenas too. You can run around killing animals and people and unlock better weapons and faster/ more efficient ways to kill bad guys...

Oh, and then there is the mission where you get to ride the elephant and charge people and knock their **** over... LMAO!

Yes, You can do that at ANY point in the game once you learn how to ride an elephant into battle.

The base defense missions in that Valley of the Yetis dlc are pretty fun too.

The first Far Cry was great. I spent hours playing that game, alone, and online. The second far cry was a letdown for me and then I built a new, tiny, computer and didn't go with anything meant for games. Growing up, wolfenstein, descent, doom, doom II, heretic, and then finally far cry were the games I loved.

Looks like number 3 and 4 might be fun.

Far Cry 1 was a groundbreaking game and the graphics defied belief at the time. It sounds like this game is sort of open world in the GTA5 or Skyrim sense. Sounds awesome. What platform are you playing it on?

I loved far cry 3 and 4, they were and still are great games. But farcry is what ruined the new division wildlands game for me as it is the exact same as farcry 4.

Start with 3. 4 is cool too, BUT, I really enjoyed killing the pirates in 3 better. They said more insulting things, and so did the soldiers. I enjoyed the hunting and things, but it bugs me that these damn black eagles attack you from anywhere in the game when you are outside. I seriously hate black eagles now. They are fastly approaching chihuahua yap-rat status in my book.

The intro and music in farcry 3 was really cool along with how you escape. There are also hidden missions in the game, like when you are working on that boat in the cave, there is ALWAYS some different pill for you to try in the basket with the other things and the candles. Everytime it takes you back to an incident at the club or something like that. Cool music in the game too. I love the mission (I think everyone does) where you have to take the flamethrower and burn down several mari-j fields and you get to shoot it out with the pirates and all while the game is blasting reggae music. It had a very breaking bad feel at that point.

I loved Far Cry except I forgot there was a SPRINT and those damn trigens always killed me. I beat the game, but that last portion where you fall out of the helo and into the river with a trigen ahead of you got me killed a lot because I did not know how to sprint. Then I hit sprint on accident and OMG the game just got that much easier. Too bad I was at the very end... YEah, I started it over because now I could run!

I enjoyed Far Cry 2 a LOT I liked the aussies and all the crap they talked and then you got to kill them from afar with things and hunt down diamonds to buy cool weapons.

Far Cry 4 also has some cool guns. Scarlet's mini crossbow that holds several mini bolts. Seems to be pretty cool.

I also LOVE to get on the mortars, but I HATE being targetting by them. They launch cluster bombs it seems that explode in the air and then rain down in a huge area blowing up all kinds of ****.

The game plays pretty well on a AMD Phenom2 x4 955 black edition with a GTX 570 card in it. It also played well with the GTX 285. Also with 4 GB of RAM, now 8 GB I believe. But it plays very good. I have a 24" samsung gaming monitor. I play in HD res and it holds up nicely.

If you want to be a caveman, Far Cry Primal is pretty fun. and Far Cry Blood Dragon is a blast from the 80's! But yes, 3 and 4 were my favorites. The special M1A is pure awesomeness.

I am doing the escape from jail DLC and it is pretty cool. You start in a tower and essentially have to make it to point B but there is nothing there and you get swarmed by bad guys. BUT, if you use your time (30 minutes each time) to perform some side tasks, you will have some cool things waiting to use at the end point, plus you get ammo all over the place.

So I just did one to give me gyrocopters and ammo, I will see how it will work now but so far I kinda like this survival mode, and you gotta start all over again with 0 experience or skills...

The detail in the game is crazy..

I was walking and a Black Eagle swooped down and picked up a pig and struggled to carry it off.. that level of detail is nuts.

I've also been stalked by a tiger..

Yeah finished it up pretty much to the point I no longer play it. Did all the DLC and played around with the mods out there. It was definitely worth the time.

the new ghost recon wildlands is basically the exact game but a bit better imo.

i did really like the helos in far cry 4 though. super easy to get around. wish the little birds were as nimble.

I loved both Far Cry 3 and 4, I liked 2 a lot actually for being as it was one of the first games I got on 360, then I played others and realized that it was pretty average, but fun until your gun jams or your RPG decides to do spins and slam into the ground.

Vaas was amazing as the charismatic bad guy in 3 and I thought the same for Pagan in 4. Also loved the special ending in 4. The way to win for lazy players haha.

I know I'm not the only one, but I really REALLY wanted a DLC where I sided with Pagan since after awhile I hated having to work for the Golden Path.

With the exception of one post (PC), nobody states what platform they are playing on. Are all of you playing on PC? I have always preferred PC gaming to other platforms but am wondering if Farcry 4 on the PS4 via 4K tv would be a good option.

P.S. If FarCry 2 was the one that took place in Africa, I thought that game sucked. Apparently so did many others as it was in the bargain bins almost immediately.

Far Cry 2 was the one in Africa, after recently going back to it, it wasn't as great as I thought, but back when I first got it, I had no experience with first person shooters, so I liked it.

For your first question, I played Far Cry 3 on 360 then on PS3 after the disc drive in the 360 gave up on life, and Far Cry 4 on PS3 then PS4, I liked it enough to get it on the newer system since now my PS3 is just a video service machine now or something I let my younger cousins play when they visit. I don't have a 4K tv so I wouldn't know about that, but I would reckon it would be pretty awesome.

How can anyone hate on Far Cry 2? YOU GET TO SHOOT AUSTRALIANS! I enjoyed all the **** talking they did till I capped them. And another thing with them was if you injured one in a fight and his buddy was around, he would pick him up and try to help him to cover, so you could pull a Full Metal Jacket on him and snipe them both...

I really enjoyed FC2, but now This Durgesh escape is pretty cool DLC for 4.

I do NOT know if I would want Far Cry Primal. I like guns, and I like the take downs in FC 3 and 4 and I do not know that you could jam a stick through someone's chest as easily in FC Primal... But I have not played it yet.
