    Cal Expo Gunshow (Sacramento)

Anybody go to the Sacramento cal expo gun show this weekend? I was thinking of going but didn't know if it was worth it. This will be my first gun show and my first time handgun purchase. I am looking to purchase a Sig Sauer P226 or P229.
Looking for my first Handgun Purchase. In the market for a Sig Sauer P226R or P229R 9mm. (Sacramento)

The Sacramento show just isn't what it used to be these days. Unless you need a trolley of ammo, I'd pass unless tshirts and misc stuff are your dream. Save up and go to the Reno show.

BTW - In all likelyhood, you're not going to find any great deals of firearms at the show. If you really want a P226 or P229, be sure you know what they cost locally before going. Have fun.

Don't know if any Sigs are available. I was at the show today. Worth going to if you have never been to one. Good selection of powder and primers and loading stuff. You would probably be better off going to one of the local dealers for your first handgun purchase. River City Gun exchange or Wild Bills can get you what you want for a reasonable price.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

+1, go to River City Gun Exchange. I went to the show today also and was disappointed. I tried to make a deal on a EOtech 3X magnifier, new in the box. Had an MSRP of $520 according to EOtech's website, this one was for $600. The best she could do was $550 cash. Went to River City and bought the twist off version for $420.

Thanks guys. I've been to a couple of dealers and they quoted in the range of $800 to $900. I've never been to River city gun exchange, Ill check that out soon.

Look for a factory refurbished Sig. You can knock 150$+ off those prices.

Went this morning, bought a lower parts kit, a 10/20 mag, from one guy, and a bullet button from sonoma firearms. It's cool if you are really into C&R stuff. Lots of hunting guns and non gun stuff.. why is it that there are so many booths that don't even have a gun on the table? Annoying.. Plus all of the damm airsoft.. ERR..

One guy had 2 ar pistols in a glass case.. pretty cool..

Eh. Was going to go, didn't get up early enough this morning to make it worthwhile. Had an axle to build!

I'd be pissed if I went and paid an entrance fee and found a bunch of airsoft crap though...

Guys , what were those 2 girls selling there by the antique coins table? it was a tiny stall . I thought I saw some calendars but I got distracted so I was just wondering!
I ve been to the one in Roseville & Vallejo. this was more than twice the size of Vallejo. I think it was okay. never been to one in Reno.
