    Buying ammo online...concerns?

I seem a little bit worried ordering ammo online. The reason being is the person delivering it. What if the guy is a past burglar or what if he brags to his friends how he delivered a lot of ammo to a guys house. Should I be concerned about this? Or should I just man up and go to my local store and pick up some ammo. I would hate to do that since I have to fill out those stupid forms mandated per city ordnance in Sacramento. Any thoughts? Anyone have any issues in the past when ordering ammo online? Any comment is appreciated.

Do you worry when you get anything else shipped to your house? I would see electronics stuff getting snatched up or being talked about long before some ammo.

Never had any problem buying ammo online and it is better to buy in bulk since the cost of ammo is going up and it sounds like the state capital is not the best place to buy ammo. I would think if a burglar knew that you were heavly armed and read to shoot any intruders he would look for another house to break into IMO.

The only possibly negative I have is that my UPS guy used to swear that if the SHTF, he was bringing his wife and son to my house to hole up.

Last month I talked him into getting a Remington 870 after showing him mine, so I think he's about to experience a new habit.... err... hobby.

You main concern is shipping costs. Major rapeage when buying ammo online.

I've never had a problem, much cheaper than the stores. I try to stock up at gun shows, but for some things online is the way to go. Especially for match grade ammo.

Seriously though, if the delivery guy were shady, I don't think the house he would be plotting to steal from is the one he delivers bulk ammo to.

A couple deliveries back, the UPS guy was rolling up with a dolly of stuff for my building and asked him if he had my package.
I said it was probably the small, but really heavy one.
He goes, "oh yeah, this one. What is that - car parts or somethin'?"
                          I respond, "nah, ammo."
It kind of killed the conversation. Not so much that he was scared by it, but he definitely became more proper or business like if you know what I mean.

These guys deliver all sorts of valuable computers and electronics all day long. They also usually get at least a cursory look at your place. If they were casing possible robbery / home invasion spots, the armed individual who buys ammo in bulk would probably go to the bottom of the list. If criminals want to rob someone, they want an easy mark. If they want to rob guns, they'll hit Turners

But then the counter help people will know you have lots o' ammo!!!!!

I try not to let certain people think or know I have guns around but what can you do? The mail people see your gun related mail as well. I get the wrong mail sometimes, I really don't need my neighbors, many of them illegals, gangbangers and such, knowing I have firearms in my home.

True story,no lie. My sister was walking about a mile and a half from our home and found a postcard from a gunshow promoter addressed to my dad laying in the street! Appears it fell out of a mailmans pouch or something and was blowing around!
