I think that most of the comments were made by people that haven't bothered to read my other posts. So.....to reiterate some salient points:

So this is what I did last night and this morning ...

This is as done as this one is going to get - it was proof of concept, more than anything else. Next one is going to be done on the Bridgeport instead of the router, and will probably be the full lower, although probably still done from a block of wood again - still proof of concept, before spending the big bucks on a block of aluminum.

It came out pretty well, considering that redwood REALLY hates taking details and just wants to crack all the time.

Nobody cares where you live. You advocated engraving it then posted your picture. Since the majority of people reading this forum DO live in California, I pointed out how stupid it would be for them to do likewise.
