i see a lot of comments in this thread like "felon in possession" and saying the other party screwed up his rights & lucky your cop friend didn't roll him up.

i'm not a felon, iv'e never been charged with a felony but having spent 171 days on delay on my last purchase i'm also not some d....ead that would poormouth another california gun owner being denied his rkba by the corrupt doj.

the guy was upset. it wasn't pretty, i see that. you guys should read up on delays. educate yourselves. whose side are you on?

i have no objection what so ever to the op's reaction to the other party in this transaction.

it is even possible that the guy was so stupid as to try to make an ffl documented deal even though being prohibited. (though not likely)

not asking anyone to consider how upsetting it can be for an honest citizen to have his rkba "slowrolled" even though i know just how it feels.

what i'm saying is that some of us here "zumboed" the guy and i'm calling it.

Purchases that are delayed rarely have any merit. The DOJ uses the DROS process as a way to get their poor records updated and they use their inaccurate records as an excuse to hassle gun owners. I was delayed on three occasions last year. My records have since been fixed and all my purchases this year have been released on time. The reason the law was changed so that the release is up to the FFL after 30 days is so that the DOJ can avoid getting sued over this mess again. It also has the intended effect of many FFL's treating the DOJ "Undetermined" DROS results as a deny.
