So many inappropriate jokes I could make....Comment

That's why I don't shop at turners...well that and the prices. I try to not even do PPTs there but I'm not willing to loose out on a good deal just to keep turners from making their $10 on my PPT if the seller won't go elsewhere. PPT at turners your looking at 1.5 to 2 hours to jail the gun and 45 min to an hour when you pick it up.Originally posted by ar15barrelsSo you are throwing out 95% of reality to select the 5% of reality where you are actually right?
We must be on calguns...Comment

That is even worse than waiting for an hour at Turner's do do a PPT while they cater to every last tire kicking lookie-loo who wants to buy his AR and has 1,000 questions but never actually purchases anything.Comment

Terrible customer service, but it does seem awfully suspect because of the likelihood of a straw purchase, based purely on your behavior that day.
The problem is, you can't expect amazing customer service from entry-level, minimum-wage staff like they hire at turners. You get what you pay for, that's the sad truth in life.
You would think they would acknowledge you just bought a gun the day before, but that increases the likelihood of a straw purchase to skirt the 1 in 30 rule. In those situations it's better to let your sister handle her business, and not get involved and "show-off" all of your knowledge. Teach before you go, then let her do the shopping. If you are wondering if you can get a LTC in Riverside County: THE ANSWER IS YES!

And.... That is why I don't buy firearms from turners, not to mention the extra $10 in their DROS fee.sigpic

Apologies for any typos.Comment

Or not. "Awfully suspect?" Maybe returning with his sister the following day raised a tiny bit of suspicion, which could easily be allayed with a little conversation. People return to stores with friends or relatives all the time.Terrible customer service, but it does seem awfully suspect because of the likelihood of a straw purchase, based purely on your behavior that day.

I don't believe the OP ever said anything that would indicate showing off knowledge, either.Comment

Turner employees are hit and miss'. Some are great, some are racist as ****, and most are just *******s.
*pardon the language but I cannot find better words to describe them.Comment

So has anyone actually called? Not that I don't believe OP, but what if it's someone just making up crap. You just never knowComment

Yeah, did someone verify this and got turners side? I am no way related to turners Pasadena and haven't bought a firearm at their location but everytime I wanted to check something out on their display, everyone is friendly and making sure i am assisted.Comment

From the information provided, it isn't clear whether he actually started DROS or just put down a deposit. Second, he states that he asked Jennifer to bring a pistol from the back so that his sister could see what she was getting. That makes it sound like he picked out the gun, and his sister was just there to do the paperwork, rather than the sister asking her own questions and selecting one to purchase after handling several display guns.
Coupled with the fact that you had questions about transfers from your deceased father, and possibly the way the questions were asked may have raised some flags for them.
I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but I bet things would have gone completely different if you had taken your sister with you when you were picking up your gun after the 10 day wait, and said, "My sister is also interested in a handgun. Would you help her make a selection?"
I've had nothing but good experiences at Pasadena Turners, and have been helped many times by Elias. It looks like you joined Calguns to share your story, but many of your transfer questions would be better answered by the knowledgeable members here than at most gun stores.Comment
