They really are magnificent guns. We have over 1200 of them in inventory here at PD. And, believe me, we beat the hades out of them and they work.

Thank you for the offer! I may send you the next one that breaks. When it breaks.
Yes, everybody says Sigs are great. And Yes, fit and finish are superb- I have multiple stainless Sigs, they all look great! But like I said, pure military mass production AK with decades of abuse and neglect is by far more reliable than the Sigs I have. I pamper them- best oils, detailed cleaning, moisture absorbents, fancy ammo... And can not get them to go trough 10 boxes of ammo without a problem. Yes, I will give to Sig- no problems after the repair in the factory. But why guns like that even leave the factory?! How the repair makes them good, what do they do different in the repair shop? They use the same factory parts I guess.
I will get the 229 to the range tomorrow and will put at least 500 rounds trough her. I hope is all OK now.

P227 Tacops is arriving in few days. When I get back /I will be away from home for few weeks/ will take her to the range. I hope I will not have any problems with her. With my luck ...

Sorry to hear your bad luck but glad to hear that Sig took good care of your guns.
I must be one of the lucky ones who never had a single problem with my Sigs ( P220, P229s, P226s).

The five Sigs I've had are 100%. Never had a single problem.

Good to hear Sig is taking care of you.

P226 in .40 with 7,000+ rounds. Zero problems.

Thats what I am thinking, it seems like the older guns of the same models are pretty much problem free

                    P227 Nitron
Grips material - polymer /IMHO feels like inexpensive plastic/

                    P227 Tacops
Grips material G10- Custom G10 grip plates with Magwell
                    from Internet-
Grade G-10 Garolite: A glass-cloth laminate with epoxy resin binder offering excellent strength and low water absorption.
G10 is woven fiberglass soaked in an epoxy resin and then compressed and baked.
/IMHO- it will look and feel completely different than the regular P227 grips/

Same experience here. Bought a top of the line 226 about 6mo ago and within 120 rounds it would not fire in single action. Called Sig and they made the process to send it in easy but disconcerting to see a $1200 pistol fail in such a short time.

The solution is to sell the sigs and get glocks

Well, I spoke too soon. The "repaired" Sig 229 was taken to the range. 2 experienced shooters, freedom ammo, Blazer and white Winchester used. FTE every 3-4 rounds. Extractor looks OK, or at least not broken, but does not want to eject the spent cartridge.

Problem 1- I am leaving tonight and will be out of the country for about 45 days.
Problem 2- The "gun" is not on the roster

                              Any ideas?

                              Ooooops, I almost forgot-
