G26 jamming issue

My G26 3rd Gen purchased brand new last month shot flawlessly with 124 gr. NATO spec made in Turkey rounds.

thanks for the update and for sharing. I own a couple of glocks including a g26 but gen 3 and no jamming issues. I also was unaware that glocks had to be broken in.

hand cycle it 500 times without the magazine inserted

then see if you can find some pmc or magtech to fire a couple boxes though

Good to hear it is working OP. Not a Glock but buddy had a Sig and had the same issues. Jamming and FTE's. Sent to Sig and still same issues. They finally told him to shoot 124 or higher for first couple hundred rounds. After that it functioned without a problem.

I do have some Glocks but gen 3s and didn't realize there was such a break-in procedure.

A lot of that going around and not just for Glocks.

A new shooter or a person with a new gun are having problems for whatever reason. And based on that one issue people want to make it their springboard to attack that particular manufactuer, for some reason it brings them some misguided joy.

They probably talk crap about the neighbors choice of a new car also.

Impossible, neither a gen 3 or gen 4 Glock 26 can ever malfunction. OP, I have reported you and demanded that you be banned for spreading such lies and heresy! May you burn in hell for all eternity




Just kidding. Ive had 9 glocks over the years and never had a single malfunction from any of them. But theres always that one special, magical pony that just has to be different so I guess its possible...

Glock has made some changes to the pistols which have in part, caused the malfunctions....MIM parts, changing angle of extractors, mag followers, etc. Even Glock Gen 3s which used to not be affected...are. Sometimes seeking improvement isn't an improvement at all....

IMO, screw the 500 hand cycles or several hundred rounds of a certain ammo to break in a Glock. If a Glock don't work perfect out of the box it should go back to the factory, partly because they might be real interested in why, but mostly because several hundred rounds is way too much money for an attempt to fix the gun.

^^This^^ for any reputable handgun. I've never had any "jamming" issue with any of the various manufacturer's handgun' I own. Something isn't right.
