    G26 jamming issue

The wife's new G26 Gen 4 keeps jamming. I don't see any visisble problem with the ammo or the mags. I lubed the slide etc.. I don't think it's limp wrist either since it also happened to me and a couple of different range masters at the shooting club. This is a new gun so it could be that it needs breaking in. Outside of this I wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar issue or suggestions on how to deal with it. Thanks.

What kind of 'jamming'? .. that's pretty vague. Fail to feed? Fail to eject? Fail to fire? Fail to ????

      What kind of ammo?

It's failing to eject. It's new ammo. I've tried American Eagle, winchester, fiochi and freedom ammo. The same ammo is shooting flawlessly out our new VP9's.

Extractor or Extractor spring to weak? How far does the spent shell fly?

Some people have better luck breaking them in with heavier ammo. Feed it 147 grain American Eagle for 300-400 rounds, then switch back to anything you want to use. I was breaking in a new gun today. WWB 147gr ran perfectly. Switched to 115gr Federal and had a couple of fails to lock back .. often a symptom of weak cycling. FTEs with a new gun and light ammo 'might' also be caused by not fully cycling ... slide doesn't quite get back all the way and snags the case before it gets ejected. If that's the problem, it almost always improves after some break in with heavier ammo.

Of course this is all 'might' and 'maybe'. There's lots of other possibilities, but this is the easiest to test to prove or eliminate.

                (edit: out before glocks-don't-need-breakin )

You're right. They don't. I am betting that it's an extractor spring or extractor based on what is happening according to the op. That said, the more detailed info you provide, ie: double feed, spent shell doesn't eject etc, will possibly provide a solution. Ammo IMO is not the issue.

I assume you mean "new" as in brand new as opposed to "new to you". If it is new to you then check the serial # and call glock to see if it qualifies getting a new recoil spring. Otherwise if it's brand new then double check the extractor and if it doesn't eject the spent cases and as a result it double feeds then I believe it's an extractor/spring issue.
