since steel is non-porous, and some/most aluminums, i don't see much benefit in the heating other than easier to apply and coat.

Not a fan, my buddy used it on his guns, gummed up his shotgun. Have way through a range trip it started sticking.

Never had s problem with hoppes, my go to is Rem Oil for cleaning and Hoppes for lube.

Still using it, still loving it.

Note: In the unlikely event it's gumming up your gun... You're using too much! Way too much!

Follow the directions for trouble-free use.

Frog/Track-lube works great on my garage door rails, nice and slippy, no squeeks.
I do hate that minty smell, reminds me of angel dust/spearmint leaves from the 1970's.

All Slip 2k here on the firearms, safe to drink, works better in colder temperatures and no smell.

As I always mentioned, one of the biggest benefits of Froglube is Non-Toxic and Food Grade.

My family have small pets at home, and it is very important to us.

One of our cats liked to jump/walk around the house, his paws somehow picked up some toxic cleaning product on the surface (furniture/floor), he licked his paws to clean, had kidney failure, and eventually passed away due to it. A hard learning lesson for us.

Some other small house pets (like all kinds of birds), just a puff of toxic cleaning product in the air would be enough to kill them.

Often we also have friends/families visit our home with their young children (e.g. baby shower.) Froglube also gives me a peace of mind.

I've been through every type of lubricant possible. When I got to Frog Lube it reminded me of the minty-smelling grease I use on my cap and ball revolvers. Seems like a modern re-brand of an old-school lubricant.

I finally stopped shopping around for lubricant once I found Slip 2000 EWL. It really is the be-all solution that works great in everything I got. Frog Lube is great but I doubt it's the "newly-formulated" secret squirrel Tier 1 combat force lubricant it makes itself out to be.

I use a variety of lubes, cleaners, clp's, including froglube. Works just fine for me, wish it came in aerosol can.

said it before will say it again "edible and bio based' does not always make a good lubricant.

Unless you lick your guns it is a non issue look for real lubrication and metal protecting properties as spelled out by industry based tests as in ASTM.

This data is on ANY reputible lube oil spec sheet. end of story.

                        Coaster grease. http://www.tracklubeplus.com/about/

I have used both and it is exactly same thing( so much for the SEAL marketing bull****). It works ok with some limitations( found it does not perform well in cold weather).

                        Not toxic enough.

Hated it. Way too messy. Functioned fine though.

RemOil to clean, M-Pro-7 if I want to run a gun "wet", otherwise I just stick with the RemOil that I just cleaned the gun with. Works just fine.

Guys, here is a source of anti-seize and lubes that has about everything needed for a lifetime of gooless gun maintenance.

As I posted in another forum, I use this stuff for installing barrels on swap barrel rifles. It's rated food grade, so it's non-toxic, prevents rust and corrosion, resists acids, and works on dissimilar metals - stainless steel barrel to chrome molly action, etc. This product is also listed under the lube section. I bought 6 ea 3 oz tubes, enough to last me beyond the grave.

I still use it. Didn't know it was ever a fad.

I use the paste and not the gel, maybe that's why I've had such good luck?

Never had an issue with it gumming up. I imagine that's when people use too much. A little of the stuff really goes a long way. And makes the next cleaning a breeze.
