How much Ammo

Couple hundred mabey. I like to bring a friend for my primary shoot that day.

I go twice a month. Once is blackpowder so thats about 48 roundballs.

Second trip is normally .22 + some random rifle.

I shoot about 80 rds of .22 followed by 30-40 of the other caliber.

Once a week. 100 rounds of .22 and then 100 rounds of either 9MM or .45, depending on my ammo supply.

300 to 700 rounds for practice - hopefully 100 to 200 the next day in a match

Two center fire rifles, 25 rds each; two center fire handguns, 30 rds each. A .22 rifle and hangun, 50 rds each. Any more than that is just making noise, at least for me. I like to leave wishing I brought more ammo so I look forward to the next range trip. When I shoot centerfire rifle, it is 10 on paper and 15 kneeling and standing on steel plates from 100 to 400 yds.

150 to 200 rounds if just shooting 9mm. If shooting 9mm and .45, I go through 100 to 150 each.

I go about 2 to 3 times a week. Depends what I bring. .22lr 100 to 200 or more for the semi-autos. Mosin 40 rounds, .38/.357 50 to 100, AK 40 rounds,
Shotgun-20, Air Rifle-50 to 100 pellets.

Been shooting under 100 rounds of .22lr lately. After taking Appleseed course, learned to take my time and read my targets better so im not wasting ammo.

Between everything I bring, usually 200 rounds, or somewhere in that realm. Sometimes more.

If I am bringing a new shooter I still end up out that much but usually never touch a trigger... Spend all my time coaching.

I practice for my bullseye leagues twice a week and I shoot between 200-250 each trip, that's 38 special. Most league matches I stay after and burn up a couple mags of 45.

When I'm at the range by myself I burn through ammo like crazy, 200-300 rounds. I guess I like to shoot. When the wife goes she'll burn through 200 rounds of .22 and around 20-40 rounds of 9mm. Sometimes she rattles through 100 rounds of .22WMR. All in all I shoot twice a week and usually 3-4 times a month with her. We go through a lot of ammo but, that's what we do...and we enjoy it!

Around 40 or 50...it kinda gets boring shooting into the same ragged hole.

Less than I used to. Ammo is expensive, even if you reload. I find myself thinking about each shot before it's fired. What I want to do, where I want to hit are a consideration, not a knee jerk shoot fest.

That will slow down ammo consumption and allow you to improve instead of repeating errors. I want to improve every time I go shooting, it's not all just for fun.
