end up running about 100 rounds through the mosin when i go up to angeles.

if im cranking away on my lever action for a few hours, that can get to be about 250 rounds of .38 special if i have nothing else to do. but i try not to shoot that much due to shortage.

50-80 rounds of .45 if im at the indoor range, with some practice on the .380 of maybe 20 or so rounds.

Never keep track, but do dry fire often with centerfire rifles and handguns !

          10 rounds.

No one needs any more than 10 rounds.

There is no "norm." it really depends on how long you're there and what your goal is. On a serious outing, I go thru 500rds of handgun ammo and 200rds of 223. On a light day, 50rds and come home with lots of brass.

Maybe to polish, but for new shooters, think 10's enough?

When I was a new shooter I would easily burn through 400-600 rounds of 9 or 45 in one trip. Back then I thought shooting lots was what made you good lol. In reality all it did is reinforce bad habits like flinching

Luckily I met a really smart shooter about a year and a half ago who showed me the error of my ways. With snap caps, failure drills and shot timers I learned and improved SOOOOO much it isnt even funny. Im still never going to win any competitions, but I can humiliate some COD douchebag or a college kid trying to impress his girlfriend

                  I've gone the cheap-man route:

                  .22 (100)
                  9mm (50-100)
                  223 (60-80)
                  12 ga (25-50)

Depends on how many guns I take.
Usually no more than 100 rounds per pistol.

I try and go twice a month. Usually with an AR and either a 9mm or 40 SW. I bring 8 loaded AR mags and 3 loaded pistol mags along with 60 more AR rounds and 100 more pistol rounds. I usually don't go through all my ammo, but you never know.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong...

I typically go to the range every other week.

I shoot 50 rounds thru each of my three CC weapons. Id I have time I;ll shoot another 50 rounds or so thru my non CC handguns. Then I go over to the rifle side and put 100 rounds thru my PC4 or PC9 just for fun.

                            So typically 300 rounds.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

It's all over the map depending on what I'm working on. Hitting a plate rack? 300 rounds/hour. Flintlock? 30 rounds/hour.
