shooting at a rapid rate is not unsafe, just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong. So yeah someone telling me how to shoot the ammo i paid for at the range i paid to get it would not enjoy our talk.

The laser at the window - That is a completely different issue. That I would report to the RO and management IMMEDIATELY! Standing at a gun range and a red dot passes any part of my body, I would assume, just as you did, that that laser was attached to a firearm. Don't know how I would react - that you didn't turn around with a gun at the ready, good on you for verifying your target!
I really doubt you'd pull a gun and start shooting anyway. And yes, those kids deserved being spanked

Don't get mad, get even. I have a 20" AR with a Kineti-tech muzzle brake with the sound sleeve. I take that off and it's WAR!

If that doesn't get them to hurry up and quit, I have a 7.5" AR pistol that tends to clear lanes quickly. The fireballs usually work.

The nets don't do well at standing position unfortunatley. Sorry neighbors, I shoot from standing position and wrap out a mag consecutively. I also wear flip flops. Now, the laser thing, sweeping and such is freaky.

Haha, sounds like I know what I'll be building next. I wonder, is there a muzzle brake that only directs to one side and is able to rotate?

I usually take out my M1 garand if I bring it along with me, it's gotten them to quit before, but sometimes when I'm loading up, I think to myself, "naw, I'm not gonna need it today" then I get to the range and want to kick myself in the nuts for forgetting.

only thing I hate about going to the range... have to worry about other shooters.

I've been fortunate so far and had no problems but it's something that's on my mind.

people need to realize we are dealing with firearms, it's not a toy.

You should have fun at the range but not act like idiots.

People need to know the balance of it.

                      first thing i remember:

                      this was awhile ago.

was at the rifle benches over at angeles range, setting up to fire a newly purchased m1 carbine.

i pick a bench, sit down, load up and get to acquiring my first steel plate. i hadn't paid much attention to my neighbors. i should have.

to my left, there is a massive BOOM as a blackpowder rifle goes off. now im not scared of loud noises, this would not be a problem, except i was wearing a short sleeve shirt that day and forgot the balaclava at home. entire left side of my face and my arm has hundreds of tiny searing dots of burning pain from powder strewn in my direction. naturally, i do what any human surprised in this manenr does, i set down the rifle, cursing at the pain trying to figure out what it was. guy non-chalantly glances in my direction, gets up, and back to the rear bench to reload. not even a sorry, or hey you may want to move.

called it quits and packed up that day.

                      second day more recently:

was at the range with a buddy of mine training a few of our newbie friends to shoot on the pistol side. we pass by this guy with three girls he is presumably teaching.
all of them of course are wearing ridiculously high heels and open tops just waiting for brass to fall in them. this one girl, i **** you not, points the handgun, LOADED directly at this guys face and says "bang i got ya haha" he just laughs it off. my shooter i was training saw it, but being new, didn't exactly know what to do.
my new shooter later remarks that awhile later she overheard the girl bragging about being "the queen of gun safety"
where do these idiots come from?

I don't know about everyone else, but having my eyesight ruined would pretty much end my career and greatly diminish the quality of my remaining life. I consider that pretty ****ing serious.
Laser pointers don't have enough power to cause permanent eye damage unless you point one at your eye for an hour. They're required to be 5mw or less.

That's what the law says, yes. The law also says you can't buy an 11+ round parts kit and assemble it into a functional 11+ round magazine, but that doesn't stop a lot of people.

Even if you have a Mon-Fri 9-5, dont go on weekends or holidays. Use a sick day or take a long lunch at a range. Ill never go shooting again on a weekend or holiday unless Im on a private range. Even the desert BLM spots sucks on weekends
