Hey you say "chopped up a bunch of cans with my MkIII". I assume you went shooting outdoors where shooting at cans are allowed? where's this place at? I hate having to shoot at paper targets...gets boring. I want to shoot at reactive targets, like cans or steel plates.

About 150 rounds of Varget loaded .223's. BLM was empty on Superbowl Sunday. I got to try out some video gear with a new Tascam digital 4 channel portable audio recorder. The limiter worked great on the gun shots preventing clipping while hearing the surround echos of the shots down the canyon.

Took my 9's out for a play date on Sunday.
XD9 & RIA 1911 9mm and tried out some various ammo.
Remington UMC 115gr brass case 195rds
Blazer 124gr Alum case 50rds
Winchester 147 gr Nickel case 50rds
Wolf 115gr steel case 50rds
Novosibirsk LVE 115gr Bi-metal case 50rds (big fire ball btw)

Put 175 total thru the 1911, this gun is new, 2nd time out with it and it shot very nice. I did have a magazine/feed issue when I mixed ammo.

My XD ate everything up with zero issues, that gun has about 4,300 rds thru it now and would consider it my go to piece.
