Moving to TX

Hi buddies,

I'm moving out of California in three weeks to accept a new job offer down at TX. I don't have to tell y'all how happy I'm to leave CA when it comes to 2A but I'm wondering if there are any special requirements while I drive down with my family and transport the guns locked in my trunk, along with the ammo. I looked around already and haven't found a whole lot of information around this. What guys should I look for? Worst case i sell the guns and keep the ammo but I prefer to retain all of it. Also I should mention that I'm a permanent resident, just in case there are different requirements like here in CA. I'll keep taying a crpa member to support you guys over here.

While shooting at a range in Texas, it was getting late and I was trying to case my rifles .
An Austin cop asked if I was going to my hotel directly? I said yes and he told me to clear them and just put em on the backseat .
He said its legal in Texas. I don't think you will have any trouble through AZ NM either .
Keep in mind these states are using radar and laser for speed enforcement . Follow traffic and stay right except to pass. You won't have any trouble .

Once you have a Texas ID you can walk in to any gun store in the state and buy.
