Would you be willing to pay a fee to own an AW in Ca

I was curious to find out.

If you were able to own an AW,SBR, Suppressor, 50BMG or even F/A weapons. Would you be willing to pay a one time registration fee to the state of CA? In addition to any BATF tax stamp?.

I'm hoping for better days to come but what if this was a compromise to existing gun laws. Please give me your opinion(s).

Depends on the fee. For FA, suppressors and SBRs, I'd be willing to pay a lot more than I would for an AW.

For NFA stuff, maybe, if it ever came to that. It's better than what we have now I suppose.
But really though, I think CA gets enough of what little money I have. Why should I give them more so that I may be granted the privilege to buy something I should already have the right to buy if I choose to.

No. IMO, even the tax stamp is unconstitutional and should be gone forever.

I would pay it but I would heavily support efforts to make the tax go away

                        Uh, I wouldn't want to. I pay $5 for an AOW, $200 for sb's and fa's.

Why pray tell would I want to pay more to the state if I've already been vetted by the feds?? I've been checked-out and verified as a non-criminal by the atf and my local sheriff and had my prints and picture taken. I've put anywhere from full price to half down up front and then waited for 2-3 months to get the weapon.

I haven't checked every state's laws, but I'm not aware of any state fees for NFA items.

The original question is in the realm of "what's the best gun for zombies", as you can't reasonably expect NFA items, other than a few C&R's, in the state of CA in the forseeable future. Currently, an NFA C&R doesn't need an additional fee paid to the state.

The existing CA gun laws are the direct result of "compromise".

Hell yeah I would pay. It would be like paying the fee instead of a bb or other mods to make it cal legal.

Meh. The MMG works as well as a pistol grip, and doesn't put money straight into the state's pocket. Choose between paying $40 to the state or $40 for a MMG? I'd choose the MMG.

Not in a million years. No 200$ NFA tax stamp, no nothin.

(OK maybe for a FA SBR FAL para, but that's it )
