It is unfair and unconstitutional to be required to pay a fee in order to exercise a right.

That said, if there were a process in place where I could pay $100-$200 and own an AW or even something like a tommy-gun, I would pay it with a smile on my face and a spring in my step. Absolutely no question, I would take part in the process instead of boycotting it on principle.

The thing that would concern me though is that they would pull some nonsense like they did with the HSC, where originally it was good for life and then changed to renewal every 5 years. They have that problem in Illinois now with the FOID nonsense they instituted. Peoples FOID expires, then they get nailed for having a gun without a permit. Ooooohhh... sticks in my craw.

Same here. Had to pay the fee stupid fee twice. Thought it was $20. At least I can laugh at the range Nazis when they tell me my AR is illegal.

              Buy a Rifle: $$$
              Background Check: $25
              Transfer Fee: $$
              AW/Ban/.50/etc Registration: $$

And now you want us to pay another fee? Where does it end? How many times to I have to PAY A FEE for something that's my right?

Why is the State of California starting to opperate like the Bank of America?

I would pay a reasonable fee yes.. If the state was willing to work with us on it, I could compromise with em.

don't you realize your already paying a fee for every one you purchase?

And do you know how many fees I'm paying for my 7 paid up vehicles? And what happens when I restore that other jeep? I'm going to pay ANOTHER annual fee on that one too. I'm glad I sold a trailer. I can't keep up with the costs.

This state plain flat out rapes me on taxes and fees, and registration, and I'm sick of it!
                      NO MORE FEES! F--- CALIFORNIA!

Yeah, I do. And I don't like it, but there's no way around it right now (well, there are a couple, but I don't feel like owning nothing but C&R long guns). I won't support adding another fee.

Now, if the state included "AWs" in the fee that they're already charging me, without raising said fee, I'd be all for that.

However, if I have to choose between paying another fee on the AKM clone I have sitting at home to let me put evil features on it vs just keeping my MMG on it and staying featureless? No-brainer. I give this state too much of my money already, they don't get any more.
