Very true. This is why I like to go on BLM land and setup targets. A group of guys go and split on bulk ammo, and we bring different targets so everyone can have fun.

30 bucks per person for range fee is robbery!

But the truth is if someone is already pointing a gun at you then you are already beat. At that point it's best to deescalate and give them what they want, and live to fight another day.
      Sounds reasonable but what about:

      1.) 9/11
2.) They are going to kill you anyway? You won't know until its too late. Also, just because they didn't shoot you from the start doesnt mean they won't shoot you after they get the goods. Happens all the time at 7/11
3.) I'm not Lance Thomas, but he got into five gun fights with the bad guys having the jump each time. He won them all.

I plan on carrying when I go to an indoor range now that I have my CCW.
Sign on the door says "no exposed firearms" to me that says CCW is OK.

Either way I will carry, I don't care about their made up rules.

I can't speak to your scenarios because honestly I have no encounters of such kind. I have had encounters where I was able to react first before the threat got out of my control, but that's just me.

If they find out they can ask you to leave, then it becomes trespassing. I always ask so I don't get into trouble.

Carry a small katana in a wood sheath right next to you bag hand, if you are on your toes, someone comes, can drop bag and draw sword/large knife....get the drop on them... or carry bear repellent with the 'safety off'... plausible deniability, left it in bag when in mountains last trip.....

Personally, I'm at my most vigilant when leaving a range as everything has to be locked up. Easy pickings for a criminal who knows firearms laws here in Ca.
Yep. Twice Ive left a range and felt totally exposed while carrying very valuable stuff on me. Started loading up my weapon before I left, the range can **** itself.

Of course this is in Texas, haven't had to deal with this in CA yet. Seems like another good reason to go to BLM land though.

Almost happened during a private party transfer at a local range in the parking lot while I was giving the other party the holsters and mags, situational awareness and a winning attitude saved the day

Hold on Mr. Robber, Sir. I just want to load up the gun I have on my person and give you a taste of your own medicine.

Not likely. But hey, at least you tried, right?

I've been saying that this is going to happen for several years. Think about the current prices of firearms. They're almost worth their weight in gold! Ammo prices have skyrocketed, too! Combine that with the FACT that the bad guys don't abide by the laws!
