Actually, when you think about it, it's not that stupid of a move. Every gun range I've ever been to requires all firearms to be unloaded and cased prior to entry.

Personally, I'm at my most vigilant when leaving a range as everything has to be locked up. Easy pickings for a criminal who knows firearms laws here in Ca.

I'm kinda surprised it doesn't happen more often, especially here in kommiefornia where all guns must be transported unloaded and in locked cases, and (at least where I live) CCW is still almost impossible to get.

On the range would be suicide, but in the parking lot...not so much. I always try to park as close to the door/entry as possible, am always on the alert, and make every attempt to exit to the parking lot in groups, not alone.

Hope the victim pulls through without any lingering medical or psychological effects.
        Sorry, not sorry.

Which is why I ALWAYS have a loaded mag or speed loader in my pocket for the gun that I'm shooting.

Indoor ranges usually don't allow CCW on premises. All guns must unloaded and locked.

Happened in Oxnard years ago at Shooter's Paradise.
Guy was robbed of his range bag at his car.

That sucks.... But what an irony huh? Getting robbed at gun point outside a shooting range where everyone has guns.....

Same here, but it's getting to the gun that is the issue. After all, we always do things 100% in compliance with CA law.

Of course! The laws exist to make us more safe. Therefore we strictly follow them.

I seem to remember a similar case happening in L.A. a while back. Years ago, but I can't remember much. I think they caught the guys driving away.

                        I think.
So I was driving home from the range and I noticed that the scent of warm steel, burnt gunpowder and lukewarm coffee combined and smelled oddly of... Peanut butter?! Man, the Hoppe's is going to my head.

If they find out, it might be your last visit to that range. Like cops, RSO don't want anyone armed at the lobby, but them

I live close enough to one indoor range that in my younger days, I could throw a baseball at it from my front yard and hit it. Haven't been there in years....too many opportunities for an ambush if you can't get a parking spot in their too small lot.

enter gun range ccw, remove items and unload. When done with the range, re-enter bathroom, arm up, go home.
