Taurus is the only revolver that I have ever personally seen fail within 50 rounds of use. Absolute garbage! We sent it back for repair and it came back to us worse than before! Avoid their products at all cost. ESPECIALLY if you plan to use it for personal or home defense. My experience was with a current production self defense firearm. Manufactured in 2012.

I've never handled the Taurus, and I do own a 4" blued Ruger GP100 which I've put some really hot loads through and it would handle it without a fuss, get the Ruger. You'll be glad you did.

OK I'll pile on:

I like my blue 6" barrel GP-100. No problems. Accurate enough for me to hit a gallon jug of water off-hand at 40 yards @ the Los Altos tin can range. A keeper for sure. Good luck.

If you feel like going crazy, buy the scandium 357 J frame, your hands won't forget shooting that...

STOP !@! Prior to making the final decision, take a serious look at the Smith & Wesson model 27. If you can find a good condtion Smith model 19, you will never regret it.
