UPDATE: JUST GOT WORD IN that the owner of www.GUNS.com will be flying in for the event to help author / videographer BEN PHILIPPI and that's before I even did the press release. This thing has the potential to really raise public awareness NATIONWIDE and help fill the ranks and stall the notion that guns owners are all OFWG. A $400. cost (ouch) could take the Press Release nationwide, instead of just local.

I believe in the Constitution & it's amedments.

There is nothing in it that suggests the rights contained within do not apply to gays. So gays have all the rights of any citizen.

The 2nd Amendment is spelled out clearly as well.

I feel, because of this, that if you support gun ownership based on the constitution, you have to support gay rights, per the document, as well.

Well, not HAVE TO. There is no law against being hypocritical.

I work in a gun store and sell guns to everybody, including gay men and lesbian women - who cares what you're into, as long as you like guns you're cool in my book. Then again, I'm a brony...I get called gay sometimes lol. More power to you all.

I always find it curious when people don't understand the bible but yet cherry pick verses then make a claim of "idiocy". The above verse is a warning from God as to what will happen to the Nation of Israel if they continue not to follow His law. God would withdraw His support and let the other nations decimate Israel to the point that eating their own children will be the only food available while suffering mass starvation. It is a punishment on His own people (which it would seem you would be happy with). But understanding that would take a little deeper thought and understanding as to what the actually verse means and not chalked up as a "contradiction". (It would also take a little deeper thought to realize life was brutal for everyone less than 200 yrs ago and not like the spoiled life we all lead now.)

OP, if it upsets you that people are against homosexuality consider that you are opposed to them just as much. That is the way life has been since the beginning of time. Its nothing new. Christians and people who believe in God have been bashed in the past and are getting bashed even more so today. So tell me, why should homosexuals get a pass?

I can understand why you have your outreach. Gun rights are for everyone and its very core is self defense, the very first and foremost civil right in my book. You want to change peoples views on who is a gun owner, that gun owners are not just redneck bigoted conservatives. To want to change that view is very applaudable because gun owners are just not us redneck bigoted conservatives (see what I did there?) but run the whole spectrum. But have you consider that stereotype has been cemented in stone by the media which has a high percentage of gays in it? Isn't the up hill battle in large part due to writers, producers, and actors who are gay or sympathetic to the homosexual cause? So your battle is in part against your own community, is it not? Just a thought.

You know what these folks have my full support. I know some folks here just hate certain groups. That's ok. But this group is doing a lot for the gun movement. I'm a Latin guy that drinks lattes and love guns. I am born and raised in east Hollywood. The fact that I believe in gun ownership draws a lot of flak from my friends.
Why does it make a difference if someone is gay, white, black, etc when we are all dealing with one issue? I don't know maybe I am living in lala land believing different people can come together for a cause. We can separate after. Just because you agree with a gay person does not mean you will become one.
