for some guns, for example an AK, being in California we have to pay a premium for them unlike other states.
whenever I'm comparing prices i usually just compare within California prices. this dose not apply to all guns just some

I haven't bought many guns from the market place because the prices are so out of whack. Every year we have some sort of legislation trying to ban something so people panic buy overpriced items. Some X amount of time later they realized that they need to recuperate the cost.

The biggest attraction for me is that a PPT skips the 1 in 30 day rule. It's a nice first world problem to have but if you are looking at the SSE deadline and you can't DROS buying from a private party makes sense even if it costs a bit more.

I actually just sold my m&p15-22 with extra mags, accessories and 2.5k rounds of ammo for what I'm thought was fair and ended up selling for 50$ less than what i wanted but both buyer and me the seller are happy so it worked out. And I probably put about 2k rounds or less through it and it looked brand new. I think if the prices are fair people will buy so watch prices drop when it doesn't sell or ask if they are willing to sell for less. Can't hurt to ask because you might have a set price that they are willing to negotiate if your not able or willing to buy at asking price.
