Very much so. I just passed on a Desert Eagle 44mag earlier today. Great deal at $900, but I don't have the time to drive the 260 mile round trip it would take to acquire it.

1. I passed up a chance to buy a brand new HK P7 years ago.
2. Found a like new, used, Henry .22 rifle in a store, good price, didn't buy it.
3. Flat dark earth P226 Mk 25, in stock, in the store. Bought the black one instead and love it; should have bought both.USN Veteran, Gun Owners of Calif. Member, NRA Life Member

Mud camper is 100% right.....on that last sentence. Get yours now. Things in Taxifornia are not going to get better. That's why, for example, there's a SCAR 16S in my gun safe.Yup. The 454 Alaskan is one of my examples. I did manage to grab one on gunbroker for $900 last year though. Got lucky.
Another one I missed was the Blackhawk in 327. The prices on gunbroker are ubre-crazy-stupid now.
And the damn roster! I missed several guns that dropped off the roster...
So my lesson from all this is, if I have the slightest interest, and if it's available, buy it NOW. It won't be available tomorrow.USN Veteran, Gun Owners of Calif. Member, NRA Life Member

Back in 1984 a coworker was attempting to scrape up some cash for a Porsche 944 (the must have car for him) He offered to sell a HK 91 and HK 93 (both used rifles) for $400 each. Was way too much money for me. Instead I found what I thought was a way better deal. For $350 I got a brand new Chinese AK47S spiker, eight mags, camo bag and a case of 1440 rounds of Chinese ammo. Isn't hindsight great????Comment
